It means the Democrats continue to build a permanent majority, and Obama will get to redesign the flag -- if the Senate also passes this bill.

It means Hussein plans to win in 2010, 2012. Lots and lots and lots of new Democrats.

It doesn’t make them a state but it does mean there will be a vote and a whole bunch of redistricting if they vote in favor of statehood.

in the end I doubt much....Puerto Rico has never shwon great interest in becoming a state...plus there will be holy hell which was twice the fury against emperor zero’s economic policies if this goes through...

The referendum presents a ‘Hobson’s Choice’ to PR voters where the final results is loaded to Statehood.

PR wants nothing to do with being a state.

Doubt there’s enough money left in the stimulus to buy them off.

I’m not sure. Even if the senate does pass it, it still has to be passed by Puerto Ricans. Unfortunately, they’ve been kept in the dark about this the same way we have.

From what I’ve heard...the way it’s worded....for them...the new Progressive Party in PR will change the language to something convoluted that will mean it DOES get voted FOR in PR....

46.5% of PRs voted to become a state last time it was voted on.

All part of the Democrats' two-year, scorched-earth assault on this fine Country and on all of our customs, traditions, and history that have made us great.

They are trying to "run-the-table", power-accumulation-wise.

It means if Puerto Rico will be forced to become a state so the socialist RATs will immediately get a large dependent class of people who will vote for them along with two more RATs in the Senate and 6-8 more RATs in the House thereby ensuring they stay in power for years to come.

only PR can decide if it becomes a state and 4 times previously it has decided not too. Congress can not vote and force it. This vote was only a resolution in support of PR becoming a state , if they decide to do so. Also consider , there are a lot of republicans in PR. The Governor is republican.
