Interior Secretary Ken Salazar told CNSNews.com that national security and ecological values can coexist at the U.S.-Mexico border.
The comments came amid Republican criticism that the Interior Department is using conservation as a pretext to interfere with U.S. Border Patrol operations on federal lands, particularly when it comes to stopping illegal immigrants and drug smugglers.

Whew. That’s a relief. I can live with the guns, drugs, dirty nukes from Chavez & who knows what else coming over the border as long as I know we’re being green.
No doubt the millions of illegals frolicking over the borderlands are acting green and clean.

Indeed. In fact, we should make the ENTIRE Mexican Border region one giant wildlife preserve. And stock it with grizzly bears, timber wolves, mountain lions, wolverines, etc.
Where’s the comic image of a massive border wall broken up here and there to make room for trees, burrows, and anthills?
