King: Democratic Congressman 'Advocating for Mexico' Rather Than U.S. (Steve King calls out Grijalva
Iowa Independent ^ | Wednesday, April 28, 2010 | Jason Hancock

Posted on 04/28/2010 2:42:08 PM PDT by kristinn

Responding to a call by U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva, D-Ariz., for Americans to boycott his state until it overturns a controversial new immigration law, U.S. Rep. Steve King suggested Grijalva’s district has been ceded to Mexico and that the Democrat is “advocating for Mexico rather than the United States and against the rule of law.”

Grijalva believes the new law, which requires law enforcement officials to demand papers from anyone they suspect is in the country illegally, is racist and does little more than “propagate the idea separate but equal treatment under the law can be codified.”

Here is transcript of King’s response to Grijalva during the Fox News interview:

He’s trying to scare the businesses out of Arizona, or he’s trying to get the businesses to change their position and press the legislature to reverse the law that was just signed by the governor the other day. I’m wondering if we look at the map of Congressman Grijalva’s congressional district, if we haven’t already ceded that component of Arizona to Mexico, judging by the voice that comes out of him. He’s advocating for Mexico rather than the United States and against the rule of law, which is one of the central pillars of American exceptionalism.

Steve King made his comments about Raul Grijalva to substitute host Laura Ingraham on the O'Reilly Factor last night.

Actually, Grijalva is advocating for the global anti-American left. But his allegiance to this country should be challenged and I support Rep. King in calling him out.

I can already hear the screeching from Grijalva in response to Rep. King.

I couldn't believe what I read about Napolitano saying that the border is secure and we don't need the national guard to help protect it.

There’s another Cong. Steve King, this one from Iowa.
Both are good.
In fact, I’d say if it doesn’t go much farther than Peter of N.Y., most Kings are good (which is strange for republic).
Wait, I just remembered John.
Like a lot of what the dimwit Left tries to do, by way of
inciting ‘social activism’, this ‘boycott’ attempt will only INCREASE tourism to Arizona, where I lived for 3 years up through 1985.
The perception might be that it will generally be safer, at least over time.
But that might spur the Left to initiate a relentless campaign of troublesome agitation in all Az. major cities.
Which is probably what they had in mind in the first place.
THAT WOULD hurt tourism. See, to them, it doesn’t matter how you get there, just as long as you get there.Ends, meet means.

This has got to be a first.
A Congressman advocating AGAINST the interests of his own state.
What's next? A President against the interests of America? ROFL

Raul Grijalva and all of the politician that are calling for boycotting of Arizona should move to Mexico because they are representing the interested of illegal Mexican instead of enforcing the law. They are encouraging for more crime against our nation.

Grijalva believes the new law, which requires law enforcement officials to demand papers from anyone they suspect is in the country illegally...

So what's next? LEO can't ask hispanics for their DL when pulled over for a traffic violation? How is it not "racist" if they can do this now?

I remember when the seat belt laws were instituted. LEO's said they wouldn't pull people over just for not wearing a seatbelt (wink, wink). They could say they won't stop supected illegal aliens without a traffic violation reason (wink, wink).

Illegal immigration proponents (that is what they are . . ) will say I'm putting up a strawman argument, but their "racist" accusations are even more so.

Grijalva is an atrocity. And he’s my rep too. Ugh.

I love how Barry Young on KFYI always plays sound bites of Grijalva that sound coincidentally like Speedy Gonzalez or Alfonso Badoya (we don’t need no stinkin’ badges)...

Traitor!

They take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution when they take office.
It sounds like Raul Grijalva has violated his oath.

This is like a CEO shorting the stock of his own company. Grijalva needs to be booted from office.

Response: Of course he is.

Comment: Better wake up Americans we are in the process of being conquered.(And not just by Mexicans alone.)
