Mayor Urges Sacramento To Shun Arizona Over Immigration Law

Apr. 28, 2010 Mayor Kevin Johnson is urging the city of Sacramento to sever economic ties with Arizona over that state's new immigration law. In a posting on his blog today, Johnson wrote he applauded moves by California and San Francisco officials to distance themselves from Arizona.

"I fundamentally believe Sacramento should do likewise, severing any economic ties to Arizona in expression of our city's belief that justice is not an arbitrary weapon wielded according to skin color and appearance," Johnson wrote.

Arizona's law requires local police to demand proof of legal status if officers suspect a person is an illegal immigrant. Johnson said he would begin working with the City Council on the issue. The mayor has e-mailed council members to gather their ideas and gauge their interest in his proposal. Severing ties with Arizona would likely require a resolution passed by the council.

It was unclear today what, if any, economic ties Sacramento has with Arizona.

California is welcome to become a sanctuary state for the half million illegals in Arizona.

*sigh*

These people are getting old quick. Do they not believe in the rule of law any longer? May I take things from Mr. Johnson’s house that I need and see fit to take?

Mayor Urges Sacramento To Shun Arizona Over Immigration Law

Hows about we shun Sacramento with it's public gay bathrooms, and its aggressive, stinky beggars in the streets, and it's loony left craziness and it's totally broke government instead?
Sounds like a better idea to me.

Sac is the hardest hit capital city in the country.
Sac has fully collapsed, will never recover, and will become the shining pile of shit in the sewer just as Detroit is to Michigan.

And the mayor of Sac is very much to blame.

Let him stew in his own pile.

Mayor Kevin Johnson, for those who might have forgot, is the scumbag friend of Obama who stole AmeriCorps funding for personal use and then called Michelle Obama to illegaly fire the AmeriCorps Inspector GEneral Walpin when he uncovered the corruption.

Kevin Johnson should be in jail, instead he is an untouchable mobster running his mouth under the protective wing of the corrupt Obama adminstration and Holder Justice Department.

Arizona should pride itself in being attacked by this sociopath, and use it on every advertisement campaign it can over the remainder of the Obama administration.

Walpin-Gate Suit Has New Motion
The Washington Times ^

Posted on Thursday, December 17, 2009 1:43:31 PM by MadisonReagan

Complete with a raft of documents and exhibits, fired AmeriCorps Inspector General Gerald Walpin on Wednesday filed a motion for summary judgment in his lawsuit demanding reinstatement to his job — his own motion not even waiting for the judge to rule on the Obama administration’s motion to dismiss the case without hearing or trial. A close perusal of his motion, affidavits, and exhibits suggests to me, for the first time, that this case has potential to reach the Supreme Court regardless of how the lower court rules.... Thus we get a glimpse of the tangled web of interests and embarrassments of Obama allies on which the firing of Mr. Walpin put a kibosh. In logic if not in law, this raises the specter of obstruction of justice....

First San Fransisco. Now Sacramento. What’s the fiscal condition of these cities and their residents? I suspect most concerned are in tough shape, so urging the broke to cut off their “business” is like a vagrant boycotting the business whose doorstep he’s been sleeping on.

Are the people of Sacramento really that dependent on their Mayor to tell them what to do?

I wish these public officials would at least read the damn bill before making comments. I have yet to hear or read a comment from someone who has.

And you know what else? The illegal-o-philes are boycotting Arizona, BUT the BUY ARIZONA movement (buy-cott) has gotten bigger than the boycott!

Here's a wonderful FR thread to find all kinds of things you can mail-order from Arizona companies. Contact ideas to show approval for the governor of Arizona, and some lovely ideas for the HOORAY FOR ARIZONA BUYERS' DELIGHT:

BUY ARIZONA.

Rush had a wonderful suggestion:

Read out all the Govt. Freebies available to illegals in San Francisco (and Sacramento) and offer Arizona illegals a free one-way ticket to their heavens on earth.

Why doesn’t some industrious person from Arizona put up billboards written in Spanish that California offers sanctuary to undocumented peoples. The cities of San Francisco and Sacramento welcomes you.
