Oh, what a difference a day makes.
On Monday, Mayor Gavin Newsom was questioning the wisdom of City Attorney Dennis Herrera and Supervisor David Campos' proposed boycott of Arizona for its harsh new immigration law, saying the law was "un-American" but boycotting a state and its businesses was "an extraordinarily complicated matter."
"I appreciate the desire to condemn the act," Newsom said then. "I understand how (a boycott) would get a lot of attention, but I also think we have a lot of work to do to have a sober dialogue about, 'Is this something possible?' "
He was saying pretty much the same thing at about 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, noting Herrera, (looking to buff his progressive credentials), hadn't informed the mayor before making his boycott call.
That's also the same time Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn, Newsom's opponent in the June Democratic primary for lieutenant governor, held a press conference announcing she was submitting a non-binding resolution for a Los Angeles boycott of Arizona and its businesses.
Within hours, Newsom had issued an executive order barring official city travel to Arizona and convened a committee to explore a binding "smart and effective boycott"

they can talk it but i dont think boycotting a state because it enforces the law will go far. ever wonder why the gove doesnt want to enforce the laws or protect the borders....???
Bonus!
Arizona is now ridding itself of illegals.
And queers.
So. Fewer San Friskies in Arizona. Arizona should be delighted.
Simple answer for Arizona, deport illegals to SF. They care more.
California boycotting Arizona? With their Greece-like economy?
No wonder California is falling apart....nothing but a bunch of whacked out Commies running everything
I don't know about that...I don't buy CA product and I refuse to travel to CA...and I've done that for a decade.
California boycotting Arizona?
Does this mean Arizona will cut off the water from the Colorado River to CA and use it themselves? Sometimes it sucks to be CA.
Then go round them up in AZ and bring them to your Sanctuary City, Gavin:
Follow me up to San Francisco
I will be guide your way
I’ll be the Count of Monte Cristo
You’ll be the Countess May
And you can believe in Robin Hood and brotherhood and rolling the ball in the hay
And I will be reading you an Aesop’s fable
Anything to make you stay-ay-ay
Arizona, hey won’tcha go my way?
AZ should respond: Simply add the leftscums’ favorite thing, a HUGE tax, to all power generated in and/or flowing through Arizona that is going to California.
well i bet more support arizona than want to boycott it
You betcha!
If I am AZ:
1. I ship my illegals to SanFran by the busload (cheaper than taking care of them, and nicer than 30 to a pick-up). As others have noted, maybe give them addresses of shelters and such...Pelosi’s address?
2. Don’t do business with CA - when CA goes bankrupt, you don’t have any of their bad paper
Win-win for AZ...and no libs from CA visiting, just the quality Californians (I know they are there somewhere...).
Loved this from the “Comments” on the article:
“What’s next - banning the SF Giants from traveling to Phoenix to play the Diamondbacks?”
RE: “...........Win-win for AZ...and no libs from CA visiting, just the quality Californians (I know they are there somewhere...).”
*********
Pretty sure I’ll be accepted when I show up from Los Angeles with American Flag and Don’t Tread on Me stickers on the car, huh??? ;)
San Fran is a ‘sanctuary city’ which has had a number of high profile crimes. They just don’t want to admit that lots of illegals are downright criminals.
Agreed. I doubt the libs will get a boycott off the ground...they're famous for whining, not so famous for following through.
Rush Limbaugh had a great suggestion for Gov. Jan Brewer. He said she should call a press conference and offer vouchers on Greyhound or Amtrak to anyone in Arizona who wants to to go to San Francisco since they care so much more.
In support of the boycott Mrs. jimfree and I are contemplating a trip to the Grand Canyon.
We are.
