Doesn’t matter. The bill will be repealed long before then.

Are these the people who don’t buy insurance and when they get hurt they run to the emergency room for the taxpayers to pay for it. I just don’t get why we put up with that. What is wrong with collecting some funds from people who risk not getting insurance. In a conservative world, we should not be expected to pay for people’s hospital bills. What the hell am I missing here??? I feel like I am in the twilight zone or Free Republic is not the conservative site it once was.

Drop your coverage, pay the fine, and if you get seriously ill then sign up for insurance. Spending money on a ponzi scheme is foolish.

a $1K fine is still far less than your annual premium is going to be for any kind of comprehensive health care policy. Sarah Palin among others is right, people will gladly pay the fine and then just abuse the “no preexisting conditions” clause when they get sick.

Let me see if I understand this. An Obot works a part time minimum wage job, has 5 or more kids, recieved the earned income gift from the gov, paid no taxes and will have the $1000 penalty deducted from her $5000 tax gift(earned income credit)She then thinks that she bought health insurance for $1000 and goes to the ER for basic health care. Is that right?
