Oops!
On the heels of a story a couple of days ago which used Congressman Heath Shuler as a source about how racial slurs were probably hurled at the Washington, D.C. Tea Party on March 20, the Associated Press has been forced to backtrack. Here is how AP writer Jesse Washington used what Heath Shuler supposedly heard to promote the idea of a Tea Party chock full of racists:
A fourth Democrat, Rep. Heath Shuler of North Carolina, who is white, backed up his colleagues, telling the Henderson (N.C.) Times-News that he heard the slurs.
(Excerpt) Read more at newsbusters.org ...
In short, he lied to make conservatives look bad.
Who thinks the MSM will bury this story? That is if they print it at all...
Hearkening back to his days as an NFL passer, former Redskins’ quarterback Heath Shuler well off target once again.
Pravda and Izvestia wee more truthful than today’s American press
Because they can get away with slander. The damage is already done, weather it’s true our not and they know it.
“Hearkening back to his days as an NFL passer, former Redskins quarterback Heath Shuler well off target once again.”
Going for it on fourth down and a yard to go......Shuler is SACKED!
Maybe, “We don’t want our government BIGGER”,
was just misunderstood over the crowd noise.
Re: “AP Admits Rep. Heath Shuler Did Not Hear Tea Party Racial Slurs...After WSJ Writer Investigates”
Too late now. Most people who read or heard it won’t learn of this update.
And you expected a lying piece of shit would do otherwise?
lying sob.
I love the Redskins but I can’t seem to recall Mr. Shuler leading them to any particular glory. I could be wrong.
For a liberal it’s not the accuracy of the facts that is important, it is the seriousness of the allegations.
bookmark.
Democrats lie.
Surely you jest. I never can tell with you and that Henricks guy....
That would be assuming he had an ounce of personal integrity ... or a soul.
Bump!
Alinsky lives!
Once again, another slanted, biased article that only proves that some people (especially jourbalists) will do and say anything, in order to further their agendas. Even when they know they are wrong.
Since when does the Left care about truth? It ain’t about truth to them. It’s about power. The power to ram a mess of HorseS**t down peoples throats, just because They Can.
And that’s Socialisms dirty little secret, isn’t it? A small group of elitists, exerting total control over the ‘masses. The rules apply to YOU, not them.
Most of the nation is against ObamaCare. Do the lefties listen? No, they ram it down our throats anyway.
Most of the nation wants Illegal Immigration stopped. The lefts response? Give ‘em amnesty, drivers licenses and free health care!
Most of the nation want the jobs to come home. What do the lefties do? Apply higher taxes forcing corporations to go offshore.
And if you are lucky enough to find a job, it’s minimum wage, part-time, temp. Unless of course you pay someone off, or swallow a mouthfull.
And if you show up at a Tea Party protest rally, the leftist media labels you as a freak, weirdo, Nazi, racist, tinfoil hat wearer, White Supremacist wacko, terrorist, Bible-thumping home schooler, et al, ad nauseum.....all because you happen to care about your country and your neighbors. All because you choose NOT to be taxed into poverty and slavery.
If caring about the future of my nation, and the future of my children and grandchildren makes me a freak, then so be it. I’ll wave my Freak Flag High!
Shuler was a first-round selection in the 1994 NFL Draft, taken by the Washington Redskins with the third overall pick. ESPN rated him the 4th biggest NFL Draft bust of all time.[3] He held out of training camp until he received a 7-year, $19.25 million contract. The Redskins had fallen on hard times since winning Super Bowl XXVI, and Shuler was looked on as the quarterback of the future. However, Shuler’s poor play contributed to a quarterback controversy with fellow 1994 draft pick Gus Frerotte. This was evident when Shuler threw five interceptions in a game against the Arizona Cardinals. Shuler started only 18 games in his first two years with the team and was benched in his third year, as Frerotte went to the Pro Bowl.
After the 1996 season, Shuler was traded to the New Orleans Saints for a fifth-round pick in the 1997 draft and a third-round pick in 1998. Shuler’s statistics remained poor. He suffered a serious foot injury during the 1997 season in New Orleans and went through two surgeries.
After being unable to take the field due to his foot injury in his second season in New Orleans, Shuler signed with the Oakland Raiders, where he re-injured his foot in training camp and retired. As a pro, his career passer rating was a horrible 54.3 and in 2004 ESPN rated him the 17th biggest ‘sports flop’ of the past 25 years.[4]
