Poll: 46% want Bush back By Eric Zimmermann - 04/14/10 11:02 AM ET
Almost half of Americans prefer George W. Bush to President Obama, according to a new Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey.
Forty-six percent of respondents said they'd like to have Bush back in the White House, while 48% prefer Obama.
From PPP:
Bush had atrocious approval ratings for his final few years in office, particularly because he lost a lot of support from Republicans and conservative leaning independents. Those folks may not have liked him but they now say they would rather have him back than Obama. 87% of GOP voters now say they would prefer Bush, a number a good deal higher than Bush's approval rating within his party toward the tail end of his Presidency. Democrats predictably go for Obama by an 86/10 margin, and independents lean toward him as well by a 49/37 spread.
These numbers suggest some peril for Democrats in making Bush a focus of their messaging this fall. A lot of folks who contributed to the former President's low level of popularity now like Obama even less. Figuring out a way to make voters change their minds about the current President would be a much more effective strategy for Democrats than continuing to try to score points off the former one.
Even with Bush’s flaws ... he’s better than the Allinsky turd.

A Kangaroo would be better than Obama.
A dead kangaroo, its bloated rotting carcass teeming with maggots, would be a better President than either Obama or Bush, in that at least it wouldn’t sign unconstitutional bills.
They should poll Tiger Woods vs. Obama.

Folks I have said it all along. Before very long people will be missing Bush big time and wish he was back. Its right around the corner
I would miss Bush a lot more if his inactions hadn’t brought us Obama.
With Bush, especially during the financial crisis, I felt we had a president who didn’t what the heck he was doing. With Obama, I think the president is my enemy — an evil, arrogant liar who wants to enslave me. So yes, I prefer Bush.

You do understand that the original TARP (under Bush) has been paid back with interest?! [And, more importantly, a complete world-wide financial collapse was averted — READ Larry Kudlow, et al.]
It has been more successful than the S&L bailout.
And, yes, it avoided a world-wide depression.
Fanny and Freddie have not paid back bailout money- were they included in TARP?
Kudlow is becoming a sycophant of late.
He was not perfect, but he sure is the real deal. An American, with heart.
And strong. And honest. And able to throw out a well placed curse word and proclaim his love for God everywhere he went. He loves his family, he loves his creatures and he SERVED our NATION with honor-both in the military and as a politician.
I miss him.
I miss knowing we have a president who loves freedom and wants to spread it across our globe!
