As Tax Day arrives Americans are in a sour mood and here’s why
The Collins Report ^ | April 14, 2010 | Kevin “Coach” Collins

Posted on 04/14/2010 6:31:24 AM PDT by jmaroneps37

Tomorrow Americans across the country will be doing two things, paying their federal taxes and gathering to protest what Barack Obama is doing to our country. We have many reasons to be spitting mad but here’s a list of why Americans are in a sour mood today.

There aren’t any jobs to be found. Currently 5.5 people are competing for every available job.

Americans receiving food stamps are now at a record 39.4 million and a new record has been set each month since The Mistake- in-Chief took office.

Home foreclosures are at record levels and show no sign of slowing down. At the current rate another 18 million people could be homeless by year’s end.

High unemployment and high foreclosures have brought us Depression style “tent cities” where an increasing number of Americans are forced to live.

The price of basic food has climbed 6.2% since January.

The national debt has grown to the point that it is affecting everything in our lives and is driving us to join TEA Party demonstrations. Americans know unelected bureaucrats will be making decisions about their lives and we don’t like it.

The corruption of CEOs has not kept them from continuing to get bonuses and raises paid for by taxpayers’ money.

Those who are trying to protect themselves from inflation by buying precious metals are seeing evidence of market manipulations.

It has been announced that the era of easy credit is ending which will push the average America “out of the market” in many instances.

Everyday we are hearing more about the damage Obamacare will do to us and it is a major driving force in our TEA Party movement. These flames are further fanned by yesterday’s news that Obamacare has already caused 60 hospitals to cancel plans to expand.

Yet Nobama’s approval rating remains near 50%. A nation of morons.

It will never happen, but tax day should also be election day.

Not only April 15, but a more symbolic date: April 19... The day “the shot heard ‘round the world” was fired on the Lexington commons. On that day, Americans shouted “ENOUGH!”

Yeah, I’m hopping mad about how much taxes I am paying this year. I’m supporting all the “It’s free Obama cash, from his stash, I guess!” types.

Perhaps, but also a nation in which only 52% pay income tax. A nation split between producers and moochers.

Many end up not paying federal income tax but that hardly makes them moochers. They pay plenty of other taxes and we citizens do not write tax laws. We need tax reform very badly but no party leaders on either side seem to be talking about it. And many “rich” people do everything they can to avoid paying taxes. Geithner and Rangel come to mind.

Here’s why:

Working Americans are sick and tired of sending their money to a corrupt and incompetent federal government.

Can you imagine what Americans might believe if there were no internet to shed some light on what is really going on in the economy and in this administration? Many Americans live in suburban America, parts of which have not been hit real hard (yet). Without alternative information sources, many would view the situation myopically through what they see in their lives. Americans are paying attention to what is going on, even if their lives are not yet negatively impacted.

I have pondered the notion of not filing... thereby setting myself up for charges. reason I would not file? I do not recognize the authority of congress to fund it’s presidentially approved budget via taxes... as the man that signed the budget was not eligible to do so... as he was not eligible to assume office.

this would give me standing at least. thoughts?

While Americans are worried about jobs and the economy the President tries to sell his unpopular health care bill:

Higher taxes and costs on small businesses won’t help the economy.

Well, citizens should put a stop to that, don't you think? I suppose I was being uncharitable by using the word "moochers". Okay, "freeloaders".

But these people did not choose to not make enough to pay more in taxes and they did not write the tax laws. I believe your anger is misplaced.

April 19...

also the day that the federal government decided to kill a bunch of women and children because they were a “wierd Christian cult” and lived in a “compound”.
