Gee, The DOE would have a fit if they saw my “illegal” high capacity toilet in my workshop bathroom that I salvaged from the site of an old restaurant that was being torn down...

The horror. I’m so afraid of wasting anything, I dug a slit trench out back and use pine bark nuggets instead of toilet tissue. All of my food is sugar-free, low-fat, high-protein, gluten-free and dolphin safe. My electricity comes from a bicycle-powered generator, solar cells and lead-free batteries. I don’t burn any fossil fuels, I just shiver uncontrollably.

Their power grab may be a blessing in disguise. Once they pass Cap-n-Trade we may actually have legal grounds to have it overturned.

I envy you your toilet...bet it flushes in one flush....Don’t know what the law is right now, but you could buy a great flush toilet in Canada and bring it into the country, but it was illegal for any licensed contractor to install it...(I live close to the Canadian border). They might have changed that in the last 7 years...toilets were not on the smuggling list. A carton of Ciggies going into Canada was illegal...
