Dr Dan Benishek who appeared on the Hannity show in Battle Creek Mich
When asked if he would take billions of bribes for a vote on the house floor he said he would stand on his principles knowing full well he had millions of Americans watching him state this on TV.
Smart statement since Stupak is set to retire.
First time I heard him speak he sounded so ‘real’. No political speak, no phony rhetoric. He spoke about his principles.
Very refreshing. At that time he didn’t even have a website up for receiving donations. He sounds a good man.
You have to understand the people here. Stupak was a outsider from Milwaukee. He took the union vote and Native American vote all the time. Lots of retirees here.
The people up here are of few words. Often shaking their heads when they speak. Basically..a yes is a yes and a no is a no.
But then we got Kaputs. Slick, stupid and a liar.
Hearing that the district voted Bush in 2000 and 2004.
He had as much chance of being elected at Dodd had in Connecticut. none
I felt Hannity didnt let him talk like he should have. But he is green I’ll give you that.
BTW. He is one of the best Surgeons in the system up here.
He wont be talked to or even aknowledged around here.
Hannity’s show style is to talk over the top of his guests....kinda jerky host.
I got to get ready to go to the Tea Party in Escanaba where the candidates will be speaking at noon. OH I CANT WAIT TO HEAR THIS!
That is what I get also. I mean the guy is there to state his case let him speak! Dan tried to talk and it was like you said. He got cut off from Hannity. What the hell? Is Hannity running for the office?
The one thing I was happy with is that Benishek said he was running for congress and not against Kaputs. The the statement with all America watching that he would stand on principle..unlike Kaputs, this guy will.
I believe Stupak just did retire.
Doctors, especially surgeons, put it on the line every day.
I would not want their job. They have to deal with running a business, keeping employees employed, making payroll, dealing with distraught patients & relatives plus a lot of other things.
Policticans like Stupak lie, sell their souls and steal. A good doctor is worth 1 million slimy politicians like Stupak.
“I mean the guy is there to state his case let him speak! Dan tried to talk and it was like you said. He got cut off from Hannity. What the hell?”
I understand that Hannity has lots of things do get done in his show, and it is in fact a “show.” So that is probably why Hannity was rushing him.
But, from an informational stand point, not everyone talks at 90 MPH! And if Sean wants to help us take back our country, then he needs to let the people running for these seats speak their minds, in their style! It’s like Gov. Palin - she doesn’t say “ya’ll,” but we down here in Texas understand her slower, rhetorical speaking style (as do most people in fly-over country)!
Sean needs to let these guys talk!
His betrayal really was of epic proportions. To exploit the unborn and then decide it was just fine to kill them.........
Really, there are no words.
I wondered why we got along so well with you from Texas.
When you hear Palin speak, that is the way we all speak up here.
A yes means YES, and a no MEANS no. And if its maybe..well then its maybe.
Little known is that Stupak had a son who committed suicide.
I wonder why?
Please please please don’t go there.
“When you hear Palin speak, that is the way we all speak up here.”
Just because I do not speak like a Harvard graduate doesn’t mean I don’t know what I am talking about! That is what is wrong with the elites today! Well, you talk slow or you use local speak patterns like “you betcha ya” and “ya’ll” and “yonder” and little things along these lines.
These do not make you stupid, they make you REAL! And phony elitist idiots just don’t understand that part of us conservatives. If you don’t speak with “proper pomp and circumstance” (using my best uppity New Yorker, yuppie sarcastic voice) then you are an idiot and should be ridiculed and ignored!
I spent many years in the Marine Corps and I loved listening to the different dialects and speech patterns from each region and state and such! And the one things I discovered for sure is that we Texan’s don’t have an accent - but all of ya’ll do! LOL!
Is Benishek originally from Maryland, or did somebody put that topic up by mistake?
