Amnesty Supporters Seek Second Republican Backing
Youth for Western Civilization ^ | 4/6/10 | John Anderson

Supporters of an amnesty for illegal aliens are desperately scrounging for another Republican backer in addition to liberal Republican Lindsay Graham. With Republicans holding 41 seats in the Senate, plus several working class Democrats who will vote against an amnesty, another Republican backer is needed to make the amnesty appear ‘bipartisan.’

Even Graham appears to be reluctant to be the lone Republican supporter of the bill. "I urge the President to write a bill and see if he can get another Republican, see if he can convince the 16 Democrats who voted no the last time," he said during a joint appearance with Democrat sponsor Chuck Schumer on the show ‘Meet the Press’. Graham added that he wanted Obama to do “some heavy lifting here on immigration." Schumer confidently predicted that "he will."

I believe that any amnesty for illegal aliens should be preceded by Amnesty for every other crime in the US.

You just know that McCain is salivating to be that RINO but he has to maintain pretending to be a conservative until after the November elections. Poor baby!

I think people in Tinkie Winkie Graham’s home state need to strongly encourage him to change his mind or his party.

Amnesty for illegals should come right after amnesty for not buying ObamaDeathPanel product. How likely is that?

I suppose Gramnesty feels safe because he’s not up for re-election for five years.

He supported this last time around, but then so did President Bush and McCain. This time he seems to have crawled out on the limb all by himself. What on earth is he thinking of? Will his constituents really support this kind of treason against our country and our own youths who cannot find jobs?

No doubt corporations who want cheap labor are contributing to him. The Chamber of Commerce and the WSJ support McCain-Kennedy amnesty the last time around. Still, how can he be this crazy? He was once one of the guys who helped impeach Bill Clinton.

John? Olympia? Susan? Kay Bailey, Anyone? Arlen? Oh, forgot you don’t qualify anymore since you became a democrat in name too. Always tough to keep up with the democrats actually in the democrat party and those still calling themselves republicans.

We are no longer a nation of laws. NEVER forget that Saint Kennedy said in the run up to the 1986 Amnesty that "this will be the last such bill ever." So the pols know how dumb most citizens are - all they have to do is change it from amnesty to reform and everyone says GREAT bring it on.

I am betting this will not happen and if they have the gonads to bring it up we should take time off from our American Citizen employers and march on DC by the MILLIONS - not just 20,000.

Good thing John McCain has had the fire (and JD) directed at him or he would have joined this months ago.

Actually, having just two republican Senators would hardly be cover for them on this given unemployment.

pretending to be a conservative until after the November elections.

The jig is up. He can stop pretending for November. People held their noses and voted for him because they didn’t want the Marxist to run the country. Please, God, send us a Ronald Reagan - please!!!

John?

You must be referring to Juan McAmnesty. He is in the run for his life in AZ and we are anticipating JD Hayworth will beat him in the primary. Juan is running ads every 30 min on talk radio for the past couple of months. He ran JD Hayworth off his talk radio show, claiming he was violating election campaign rules - where was he when Al Frankenstein was running his mouth for almost two years before his campaign?

Juan has found his Conservatism - he finds that side of his brain every 6 years - he will not be supporting Amnesty or reform this year.

Signing off on Amnesty for illegals is underwriting and sanctioning a full enemy invasion from our southern borders.

It is the act of a traitor, and traitors should be shot at sunrise.
