We know about the angry outbursts against (mainly Democratic) lawmakers as Congress finished work recently on health care reform legislation. We know that protesters spat on at least one black member of Congress, yelled the “n” word at another and used homophobic slurs against a third. We know lawmakers’ home offices have suffered smashed and bullet-riddled windows.

I have called out my local newspaper on this column and would encourage others to do the same. There nothing to support the charge that "protesters spat on at least one black member of Congress, yelled the “n” word at another and used homophobic slurs against a third." as evidenced by the lack of eyewitness, photos or other recording at the event where this behavior was alleged to have occured. Likewise, Andrew Breitbart has put up $100,000 for proof with no takers. The real story here is the false and insidious allegations of Democratic lawmakers who are eager to implement a Reichstag strategy to demonize ordinary Americans who are fed up with big brother government. Any newspaer that runs this column should be called out on it....as should be Ms. Erbe.

Did this broad Bonnie Erbe mention the two or three REPUBLICAN members of Congress who had windows smashed at their offices? Or the death threats made against REPUBLICAN congressman Eric Cantor and his family? I doubt it.

Then there’s the Tea Party protestor.....a black man in a wheel chair.....last August at a protest in St. Louis who was beaten by SEIU thugs and called the “n” word. Any reporting on this ugly incident by the ill-informed Bonnie and her ilk? I think not.

Well, to begin, the Tea Partiers have no seats in Congress or any branch of Federal gov't, so they lack any power of subpoena and cannot hold investigative hearings, etc.

Racism within the Democratic Party almost derailed the Civil Rights Act under LBJ. It passed due to overwhelming Republican support.
