Washington (WBAP) - Nerves are rattled in state capitals coast to coast after demands from a group -- apparently based in Texas -- that all 50 U.S. governors step down from office. The FBI warns that the group's rhetoric could provoke violence by others.
An FBI special agent in San Antonio would not confirm that Texas Gov. Rick Perry has received the letter, but the document sent to at least 30 other state capitols warns that, unless the governors step down, they will be removed. The Associated Press received a copy of the advisory from the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI.
Screening machines for visitors and packages were added to the entrance of the capitol at Carson City, Nevada. And patrols by Utah state troopers were beefed-up around the beehive-shaped capitol at Salt Lake City.
The office of Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal confirmed receiving a letter from the Guardians of the Free Republics, but directed further questions to the Louisiana State Police.

I really dislike it when people do this, because it diminishes the real purpose behind the dissent. “3 days to get out or you’ll be removed?” I mean, what is that? This kind of behavior earns the wrong kind of title. I don’t want that title attached to us here...

IIRC, There is a legal term for that: Entrapment. It is not allowed by the courts.
Yeah, I’m certain Perry and Jindal know what FR is and can make the distinction between Freepers and whacked out militia types, whether such militia types are the genuine whacked out article or a creation of a government program, which would NOT surprise me in the least under this administration.

This is a typical tactic of the left starting with Clintoons whitewash of the OKC bombing.
Don't buy into it. It is an attempt to split the grassroots movement from the governors who are also trying to defend themselves from the federal government.
You’re exactly right but I’ll bet there are plenty of courts in the US where you could find judges who would accept it somehow.
