On Monday's O'Reilly Factor on Fox News, NPR news analyst Juan Williams furthered the left's talking point about the tea party's supposed connection to militias, and even went so far to claim that the Gadsden or "Don't Tread on Me" flags used by the conservative grassroots movement is "the same imagery that was on Timothy McVeigh"

That looks like a racist snake to me
But the hammer and cycle flag represents the people.
I try to avoid watching BOR, but the only other thing on was Women's Basketball and that's worse.
The fact that Juan Williams doesn't know the meaning or application of that flag is a demonstration of his ignorance, which he shares with millions of liberals, in and out of education, the press, and politics.
I suggest, and offer to all Freepers, to use the poster I made up, but change the second date to 2010, rather than 2009.
Congressman Billybob
One of my favorite things about the miniseries ‘John Adams’ was the imagery of the different flags that were around during that time—’Appeal to Heaven,’ ‘Unite or Die,’ ‘Don’t Tread on Me.’ I don’t think John Adams, his cousin Sam, or any of the other founding fathers knew Tim McVeigh, did they? LOL
It is thanks to the founders of this great nation that Juan has the right to spew his idiotic liberalism without being slapped into handcuffs.
I don’t care if Juan is a ‘nice guy’ as some on FR have said in the past. He was on Hannity’s radio show yesterday demonizing big business (as if he ever says anything sensible) and I had to restrain myself from throwing something at the radio. Thankfully the audience in the background booed him soundly.
That’s clearly racist!!
I have a similar problem. Only for me, I don't watch because Hannity's on too often.....
There is no such thing as a reasonable liberal. Colmes and Williams have both gone off the deep end.
Hey Juan, I think the same thing when I see an ANC flag, or a black person in a Dashiki. I see a racist.
Couldn’t agree more.
Juan Williams and Bob Bekel espouse socialism and the limiting of liberty. That in and of itself tells me they are not nice guys. Not in public and not in private. To Hannity: You are known by the company you keep.
They are not nice guys...they are traitors trying to undermine the basic principles upon which this nation was founded.
Your photo is beautiful. The sky and background couldn’t be better.
Cordially,
John
Before you're pointed at me
There is a possibility
You better turn that thing around
The fits come easily
So don't you tread on me
Cause I will knock you down
Some days it seems it's not worth it
The fight in me is all gone
And I'm not trying to be perfect
But just get one damn thing done
Before I lose control
I pick myself from the floor
Before you're pointed at me
There is a possibility
You better turn that thing around
The fits come easily
So don't you tread on me
Cause I will knock you down
Never come a day that I'll solve you
Consequently I could never leave you
In the shadow of those looming battleships
I love our canoe
I'm ready for the falls
And those still waters we will find are true
Oh there's a clock in my head
And despite what it says
Another one on the wall
They don't agree at all
And there's a schism in me
And despite what you see
You might see me as calm
But I go out like a bomb
Before you're pointed at me
There is a possibility
You better turn that thing around
The fits come easily
So don't you tread on me
Cause I will knock you down
Whoa
Oh in the comfort of strangers
You don't see the danger
Of just letting it flow
This I know
Before you're pointed at me
There is a possibility
You better turn that thing around
The fits come easily
So don't you tread on me
Cause I will knock you down
And you’re a racist, Juan.
BTTT
I prefer flying the Culpeper Minutemen “Don’t Tread On Me/Rattlesnake” flag.
But then again, I live in Culpeper.
I’m probably STILL guilty of displaying “Tim McVeigh Imagery”, though, aren’t I?
Dont Tread on Me bumper stickers are available from CafePress.com among other companies. Very inexpensive and you’ll receive them within a couple of days.
I love that flag!
