“Why the heck aren’t the American Indians getting into this business on their reservations? There are little bitty reservations dotting much of the continental US. Enough with the tobacco and gambling crap already — they ought to do something worthwhile that’ll make them rich AND help the rest of the nation.”

My husband is a member of the Choctaw Tribe from Okalahoma. They already have some sort of health care available which his membership card would make him qualified for. I just don’t know the details.

Indians get free health care through the BIA Bureau of Indian Affairs/Public Health Service. Just like in the old days, only better.

The idea is, if Indian tribes can open casinoes and cash in on their exemption of federal laws, why not open health/medical clinics on reservations and cash in on immunity from Obamacare.

I don't know, but I'll bet there are a bunch of sharp-eyed shysters at work on this as we speak.

I’m sure it’s part of a federal scheme. The Indians need to set up their own 100% private healthcare system, primarily with non-Indians’ dollars. Just like they did with tobacco and casinos.
