I agree. It is very important to follow this up and expose them because it will discredit them and make it virtually impossible for them to be believed about this sort of thing in the future. Otherwise the other version has been left hanging out there as if true and this is what they intended. Make the charge, have it go out on the news for a couple of days and then move on and the impression is left.
