America has just witnessed an unconscionable abuse of power. President Obama has betrayed his oath to the nation rather than bringing us together, ushering in a new kind of politics, and rising above raw partisanship, he has succumbed to the lowest denominator of incumbent power: justifying the means by extolling the ends. He promised better; we deserved better.
He calls his accomplishment historic in this he is correct, although not for the reason he intends. Rather, it is an historic usurpation of the legislative process he unleashed the nuclear option, enlisted not a single Republican vote in either chamber, bribed reluctant members of his own party, paid-off his union backers, scapegoated insurers, and justified his act with patently fraudulent accounting. What Barack Obama has ushered into the American political landscape is not good for our country; in the words of an ancient maxim, what starts twisted, ends twisted.
His health-care bill is unhealthy for America. It raises taxes, slashes the more private side of Medicare, installs price controls, and puts a new federal bureaucracy in charge of health care. It will create a new entitlement even as the ones we already have are bankrupt. For these reasons and more, the act should be repealed. That campaign begins today.
Sorry, not a fan. Where the hell has he been?
Mitt Dickhead - you laid out the healthcare blueprint. Soetoro just applied it to the other 49 states.
SHUT UP Romney! Your RomneyCare gave them a roadmap to this mess. Just SHUT UP!
Oh, and be careful not to trip over David Frum. He seems to have been on his knees in front of you for some time now.
Oh shut up, Mitt! Your RomneyCare helped set the wheels in motion.
Hearing Mitt Romney criticize Barack Obama for instituting the same kind of government-run health care system that Romney himself championed in Massachusetts is a joke. LOL.
Sorry GOP_Lady. Romney passed the same thing in Massachusetts and it’s bankrupting the state.
Thus, my query: Is Obama actually trying to start a civil war in America? Sounds counter intuitive, but I think it's all part of his crafty plan to disenfranchise white Americans from the liberties that they now possess.
No death camps yet, and the secret police aren't knocking on doors as of this writing, but that's just a matter of time.
Exactly. Romney provided the blueprint for this crap.
What the State-run Media (aka the Main Stream Media) will not tell you is that if it was masterful, it was only masterful in its lies, deciet, and treachory. They used trickery, sculldruggery, bribery, threats, and lawlessness to pull this Health Care Vote out by the skin of their teeth...and the battle is still far from over.
Stupak was not padding to a democrat victory. No the EO deal was the democrat leadership's last ditch gasp to gett the votes they needed...because the vote makes clear that they did not have them before. And Stupak and those listening to him fell for it and will be forever remembered for being duped, bribed, and sashayed into supporting a bill that will use tax payer money to pay for abortion...and ruin the best health care services in the world as they are found in this nation...and enslave our children and grandchildren in debt. I do not know what all they were promised, or threatened with...but you can bet that it had a lot more to it than a rediculous Executive Order which will not stand or be used to stop it anyway.
We have a band of traitors running this country. I know of no other way to state it or express it. That is the truth about Barrack Hussein Obama and those in league with him. They have proven by their words, their deeds, and their stances...for decades...what they are, and now they have punctuated it with this God-forsaken, monstrocity social health care bill, and intend to continue punctuating it with amnesty for illegal aliens, a world-wide socialist cap and trade effort...among many other things. They are marxist ideologs who hate the free market, who hate free enterprise, who disdain the constitution and its attending, foundational principles, who reject freedom and personal responsibility, and who promise the wrteched masses that they themselves have created through dependancy, anything they think they want, so they can amass power to themselves and destroy this Republic, its liberty and way of life, and make it over into a decrepid socialist/marxist state where they and their cronies amass tyranical power unto themselves.
This cannot stand...indeed, this MUST NOT STAND. We must press forward to the elections of 2010 and throw these enemies out with such resounding clarity that it cannot be denied either here or abroad what is occurring. We must do so by turning to the constitution and the principles that are its foundation and then electing only those candidates who swear their allegiance to that constitution and those principles.
Nothing else will do.
If, as a people, we do not turn away from the course these quislings and traitors have set us on, then, as history and God are our witness, we will ultimately be left only with same course our own forefathers were compelled to take...that is, the force of arms, in the hands of citizens and citizen soldiers of this country to route these traitors out.
We are at a monumental crossroads in our nations history. We are on a path to self destruction and the loss of our freedom and way of life. But we have the opportunity to turn off that path and return to the principles that have made America free and prospered her.
Get involved with the effort to find and support constitutional candidates : RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION EFFORT
Come together with, discuss, and plan activities to take back our Republic at : FREERPUBLIC.COM CONSERVATIVE ACTIVISM
Stay true to your oath to protect and defend the Constitution at OATHKEEPERS - NOT ON OUR WATCH

March 22, 2010
I wonder if Mitt realizes how silly he looks saying this.
If Mitt was a real conservative, he’d know he has no credibility, stop talking publically, and would just work to get a real conservative elected.
Its interesting to note one of the largest, and oldest, internet political forums on the web appears oblivious to the fact Romney has catagorically stated Mass Care was a huge mistake.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve learned from every mistake in my life, and lord knows I’ve made quite a few.
In 2012 this nation will desperately need somebody like Romney, a person that has experience in corporate turn arounds, folks.
Maybe it isn’t Romney. But the fact is the financial course we are on is guaranteed to bankrupt America Inc.
Glad to see you posting, Jeff. Wish you had started a thread with this post instead of seeming to jump on the Romney bandwagon with it.
He mouths the appropriate words, but it’s his kind of faux-conservative RINOism that allowed our country to slide this far down the socialist rabbit hole in the first place.
For the past several decades, Republicans and Democrats alike have both driving the country in the same “progressive” direction, just at different speeds.
I am not a Romney fan but I applaud him for this statement. We need every available soldier in this fight against tyranny. Our enemy is Obama and the Democrat party, not wayward Republicans.
There are very few who are willing to stand and call Obama, Pelosi, Reed, and the others the traitors and quislings that they are...and stand on the rooftops and warn the people about the consequences of continuing down this path.
Couldn’t agree with you more - this is one area where he might as well wear an H for hypocrite on his forhead while he talks about it.
>.the financial course we are on is guaranteed to bankrupt America Inc.
Tacking into the financial windward passage, ye might say. Will China prove a safe haven or a lee shore.
For how long will we be able to afford our 600 Billion Pentagon if things keep up?
Or SS and all the other entitlements.
Seems a financial Day of Reckoning beckons.
This is a joke right?
God’s abundant blessings on you, Mr. Head.
I could have a little more respect for Mittens if he would denounce and regret that he signed healthcare for Massachusetts. However he rather defends it instead.....does Mitt live in a glass house?
Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers, blessings, and encouragement. The same to you and your family from He who sits on High...ten fold.
I have heard him many times talk about Masscare in glowing terms - he is in a no win situation on this one. He has tried to take credit for it when it benefits him and at a time like this he balks at his opponenet for doing what he did in his own state as governor. He can’t have it both ways - it is one thing to learn from your mistakes but if you keep touting them like they aren’t mistakes have you really learned or are you just a hypocrite?
Mitt Romney: Now that Romneycare is national, a little self examination
may be in order. You may want to ask yourself if I had spent my time promoting
RomneyCare, could I have garnered more support of Obama?
Romney praises Obama
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney praised President Obama
at a GOP fundraising dinner Wednesday ..
"I also think it's important for us to nod to the president when he's right," Romney said....
Romney, who spoke at a dinner for the National Republican Senatorial Committee,
said he's pleased with the president's plans to "finish the job" in Iraq and Afghanistan
-- lines that drew applause from the partisan audience. He also applauded the president
for standing up to the auto industry.
"I hope he continues to be tough ....The former businessman even offered faint praise for
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, saying that after a series of initial missteps,
"I think he's finally getting close to the right answer."
... “I’m already sick of hearing from the press what a “masterful” job Pelosi and Obama have done with the Health Care Monstrocity.”
No kidding. I wouldn’t call a 219 / 212 vote split a mandate, or product of “masterful” manuevering.
Although it handed the D’s their unsavory victory, I’d be hard pressed to say 219-212 is a resounding, resolute victory.
We agree. You can spin politics, you can spin a vote in the House or Senate.
You can’t spin basic math, and its got to catch up eventually.
No denying most of what you stated, but he has admitted it was a mistake.
My primary concern is we will end up with another ‘default’ nominee, like McCain, if we start off two and a half years early, bashing everybody that dares to consider running. The way things are going, the only thing that can stop a GOP take back from the Dems over the next TWO election cycles...is ourselves. JMHO.
Romney is not the answer. As you say in your reply, "We need strong leaders who will talk straight...real straight...
Benedict Willard Romney:
What my (the Romney) presidential campaign staffers have
ushered into the American political landscape is not good for our country;
in the words of an ancient maxim, what starts twisted, ends twisted.
Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."
The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I'm told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin's people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney's former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off .hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."
"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the "Diva" leak was Nicolle Wallace's husband."
Kathleen Parker: "[I]t is increasingly clear that Palin is a problem." "Parker ... says something publicly that many of us have thought privately
but lacked the courage to say out loud - Palin should step down:"
I agree with your opinion as well - I think that the dem political machine will push for us to have exactly that - the weakest default nominee possible. I hope a candidate pulls ahead of the pack right away so that there is not a huge battle between candidates in 2012.
...and we can still beat it through the senate forcing it back to the house, or through the parlimentarian kicking it out.
This fall, we need to change things enough to either turn it around, or at least hold it up completely until the 2012 cycle uhers in enough count to turn it over.
Romney has been campaigning all along...
About fighting the ObamaRomneyCare Bill...
RINO Romney once again shows what a lousy Commander-in-Chirf he would have been...
The US has never started to fight...
AFTER the war is over and we’ve been licked...
We dont hide out while the bad scary bang bangs are going on...
We’ve always been there in the thick of it at the first provication..
We stick up for ourselves...
We say things like “I have not yet begun to fight!” only in the thick of battle whe the other side demands we surrender..
Cowardly fools like RINO Romney do not make American leaders...
‘I agree with your opinion as well - I think that the dem political machine will push for us to have exactly that - the weakest default nominee possible. ‘
Yep, as they did in 08, and too many of us were quite willing to help them. Like the GOP’s own Goober, Mikey Huckabee. Without his insane jihad against ‘da mormon’ we could have at least pinned Owe-Bama and Democrats down int eh debates on economic matters. Instead, we got McCain.
Which is why I would never, EVER consider supporting Huckabee for anything.
Nahhhh. Never mind.

No he hasn't. In fact, quite the opposite. He loves it and calls it his "greatest achievement"!
"The portrait depicts the governor seated at the front edge of his desk wearing his trademark business suit. Beside him is a small framed photo of his wife, Ann, and ... [wait for it] ... a copy of the health care reform law he called his greatest achievement. [note to mittbots; since this was June, 2009, this means he claims credit and praises the disaster of a healthcare plan the MASS Dems produced]
I’m nobody’s ‘bot’. You want to disagree, fine by me. But lose the juvenile bs.
Thank you. And for the record, I ran a check via google, and so far you stand correct, I was wrong. Appreciate it.
Provide funds, work behind the scenes, whatever it takes. But you, sir, have absolutely no credibility on this issue, and by presuming to speak for the rest of us, you risk the whole lot of us as being labeled hypocrites. (A state of being I understand you're quite comfortable at accepting for yourself, however, most of the rest of us have standards.)
Citation needed. Everything I've seen has been just the opposite, with Romney desperately trying to reconcile his MassCare "achievement" with his opposition to ObamaCare.
