It will be a long, long time before voters in battleground districts and states trust Democratic candidates. And why would quality centrists run when national leaders are going to treat them like shock troops?

Pro-life Democrats?

Right up there with Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

Democrats lie. If a Democrat tries to campaign as anything but a Marxist, he needs to be called out as a “stupaker”.

There are liberal Christians, Jews, and Muslims, but when the rubber hits the road, they are always liberals first. Do you think America has learned something today?

FReepers have been on target for the most part in their distrust of the blue dogs. While it was encouraging for a while to see Stupak publicly pretend he had ethics, the heart just couldn’t beat faster until he voted. Blue dog, pro life - just the same old rat diarrhea.

I think I remember someone saying there was no such thing as a Blue Dog Democrat.

“Blue Dog Democrats” = Democrats who campaign like conservatives, talk like conservatives, pretend to be conservatives ... until they turn blue in the face... and then do what the Democrat party bosses tell them to do, vote how the Democrat Party bosses tell them to vote and then go back home to claim they represented their voters well.

I know there are bad Republicans in politics, but why anyone would trust someone with a “D” after their name is beyond comprehension. I wouldn’t trust the Pope if he ran as a Democrat!

After a 100 years of progressive tyranny, you would think voters might wake up. No matter how hard they campaign as a “centrist” or “Conservative” or “blue dog”, they will always cave to the prevailing socialist winds in DC.

"It will be a long, long time before voters in battleground districts and states trust Democratic candidates."

Between redistricting following the census and amnesty, the Democrat thugs are smugly smiling at such cries of indignation.

FReepers understand this. The problem is getting the message out to the rest of the country. Most people don’t follow politics that much and politicians know this. The general public is busy trying to make a living and stay alive. I think that once they realize that their health insurance will continue to raise, they may wake up. In the future, Republicans are going to have to make some major changes and convince the people that they are the party of the future. People will have to learn to trust them..........if they want to trust anyone any more.

The PUMAs were perhaps the biggest non-constituency boogie man in decades. I knew that even the most racist Dem here in the northeast would vote for Obama.

Here’s the lesson;

If I have a choice between a pro-life dem and a pro-choice repub, I’ll take the repub every time. Never, ever elect a dem. That one pro-choice repub will have no effect in a sea of repubs, but every dem adds to the dem majority and allows people like Pelosi/Reid to rule the roost.

Do you think America has learned something today?

I wish with all my heart that I could say yes, but I am afraid that we've passed the point of no return. I am an old person but feel very bad for what is in store for the next generation.

Hopefully Representative Tom Perriolo here in Va will be on his way out in November. In ‘08 he beat a solid conservative incumbent by well under 1%. His ‘yes’ vote yesterday will be a deciding issue in the mid-terms unless the Poseur settles fifteen thousand newly minted citizens in the district fast.

As someone who once had the "D" after my name, I have to agree with you.

Anyone willing to identify themselves as a Democrat today is, IMO, either a badly misled fool or so blinded by their own selfish interests to be willing to sell their souls to the Devil, while patting themselves on the back for "caring for the little guy".

Satan is very pleased today.

The existence of the United States has been a thorn in his side for 234 years, and yesterday marks a significant victory in his tireless campaign to eradicate God and personal liberty from this earth.
