At best, Barack Obama committed the latest big mistake in his conduct of foreign policy last week. At worst, the president carried out a deliberate operation intended to weaken the U.S.-Israel relationship and turn the public against the Jewish State.
An announcement was made by a ministry of the Israeli government during Vice President Joe Biden's visit to Israel that building permits were to be issued for a neighborhood in Jerusalem. The area concerned was expressly excluded from the moratorium on building that Prime Minster Netanyahu had offered to encourage the Palestinians to come to peace talks. The area is already filled with Israelis, and it was always considered an area that Israel would keep in any peace deal with the Palestinians. Indeed, the Palestinians never pushed to include this area in any previous dealings. The area is strategically important for the Israelis, being located on a higher elevation ideal for snipers to kill Israelis traveling on key highways.

Title should read “Obama is Turning Against Israel”, it’s not us, it’s him and I do believe those that weren’t caught up in the BS knew this would be the case.

Agree; but I would stratify your statement just a bit. I think it's fundamentalist/conservative Christians who strongly support Israel here in the U.S. Liberal and moderate Christians support Israel - well, moderately. Perversely, American Jews tend to turn on their own and vote the Dem/Lib ticket who tend to have animosity toward Israel and support the Palestinians. Go figure....

There are different degrees, but the bottom line is America used to support free societies. Not two-bit tin pots who run these president for life democracy, like Saddam’s Iraq.
I have always wondered what attracts liberals to these thugs, like Carter to Mugabe.
Because a free society naturally tends to create unequal outcomes and the inequality is persistent. Since unequal outcomes are an evil to these folks, they will use coercion to redistribute wealth in a manner that they like. The amount of coercion needed is irrelevant as long as they achieve their goal of 'equality of outcome'. Those millions killed in the gulag are simply collateral damage.

It seems the answer is always the same, the utopia’s money runs out, the guns come out.
Americans in contrast to the Obama Administration are not anti-semitic and are pro-Israel. We see an Arab culture that has produced nothing, but new ways to commit murder for the past 500 years. That and the virulent anti-Americanism and anti-semitism in the Moslem world makes Americans turn away.
This is in comparison to Jews and Israel, which are the most creative and prolific parts of western civilization. American science, culture and history would not be the same without the contributions of Jewish people. Contra to Obama's claim about the great contribution of Islam to America, it can't be found with tweezers.
The pattern of Obama kowtowing (bowing) to our enemies and attacking our allies is beginning to get set in concrete in the ordinary Americano's mind. This is going to be deadly for the Democrat Party from school board to the governorships to Congress. Obama may be left standing after November, but a hell of a lot of Democrats are going to be gone without any prospect of returning.
Carter's weakness in foreign affairs killed him politically. Obama is going to get creamed by the ordinary American, who recognizes that "managing America's decline" is not acceptable. Obama live in the leftwing world of 17% of America. That's all he's going to have left.
I have a politically incorrect question to ask: Obama is the first Black President, will his performance hurt the chances for a second Black President? The same question goes for that other historic first, Nancy Pelosi as the first female Speaker of the House. Will her performance hurt the chances for a second female Speaker?
