The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -20. That’s just one point above the all-time low (see trends).

Each time the President leads a big push for his health care plan, his job approval ratings suffer.

Good news for Democrats

Barry is trending up, 1 point above his majesty’s all time low
The CBO has the HealthScare bill at UNDER $1 Trillion dollars.

That is a win win. Everyone say cheese.

What will it take to get the strongly approved to go down to the low teens?

We know his deep base won’t be shaken, so is it even possible? I think the only way he could lose his base is if he does a 180 and starts acting like Clarence Thomas and puts America first. But then he’d get back a lot of the current strongly disapproved votes.

What a nightmare. We have a party literally destroying itself in the short-term but do not care because they are placing an unwanted new government control in place over all our life decisions. This is the worst moment in our nations history, with possibly the first civil war in the 1860s.

It may not do us any good.

If he passes this healthcare debacle, then next is immigration.

He would have momentum for immigration and if that passes, a permanent majority.

This could all easily happen before the next election.

Nothing will be repealed because the votes will not exist for a veto override and there will be no election that will be able to reverse the demographics.

It won’t happen...about 25-30% of the nut-jobs out there will support Barry no matter what he does.

They don’t care because Obama has told them not to worry. Obama plans a takeover similar to what happened in Venezuela. Their jobs are secure, regardless of that pesky Constitution—which, after all, can be thwarted with all these “deemings.”

with possibly the first civil war in the 1860s.

I highly doubt that'll happen. Way too many in this country are ok with semi-comfortable slavery. Plus, large sections of the military would need to defect to the side of the rebellion.

If they are hell bent on immigration as a voting block then we have to simply bring in the immigrants that will vote our way, or can be convinced to vote our way somehow. Just because someone is from south of the border they don’t have to be Democrats. A philosophy is a belief system and we have to market ours to them and to everyone effectively and not keep playing by the gentlemen’s club rules.

Yeah, he is as dumb as he looks.

Actually, he's a closet communist and his ideology overrides his sense of political survival. But that indicates the level of his stupidy even more.

It’s becoming obvious that they don’t care about their polls anymore.

Why would they? If you plan to completely take over an entire, presently free, country, there’s going to be some backlash. It’s like O’s numbers, in free fall yet he seems unfazed. Even their friends are making unfriendly noises but they don’t flinch.

Maybe if editorials, phone calls, and faxes are their only opposition, they think that’s a very small price to pay for a successful coup d’état.

And there aren’t words for the contempt I feel for Congress for joining in.

Even if we had the votes to repeal it, would the Republicans do that? Or would they decide that now that they have the votes and the power, maybe they should hold onto it?

“We have a party literally destroying itself in the short-term but do not care because they are placing an unwanted new government control in place over all our life decisions. “

No, I disagree. The Democrats are minimizing the damage. They’re already in hot water. By passing this bill, they can go to the people with their “accomplishment”. The MSM will sing the praises of Obama, being the only person in human history who could have done this. The conflict will subside, the sheeple will be lulled back to sleep.

The Dems will lose some seats in November, but the damage won’t be that bad. In fact, Nazi Pelosi will probably keep the speakership.

Yes, Americans really are that dumb.

You nailed it. This is not about 2010. It is about every election after 2010.

Let's pray this bill fails, and the Obama agenda with it...

The problem with that is that, if the republicans do the right thing (by no means certain) and stand up for our borders, the immigrants will see them as the enemy and use their new found privileges to retaliate.

Conversely, there is no guarantee that amnesty will ever result in increased numbers of republican voters.

I'm not usually a pessimist but I can't see any possibilities here.
