Today, the Center for Medicine in the Public Interest Advance (CMPI-A), in partnership with Pajamas Media, is releasing national survey data on Americans views of the proposed health care reform legislation before Congress. CMPI-A leads the national grassroots initiative, Hands OFF My Health, a campaign that seeks to raise public awareness and better inform Americans about the potential costs and consequences of government-run health care. From Dr. Robert Goldberg, president of CMPI-A:
The poll suggests that Americans oppose how the health care bill is being passed and want more debate and a more democratic approach. The potential of House Democrats sending the Senate bill to the president without an up or down vote is clearly counter to public sentiment and in strong opposition to the meager support for the tax increases, Medicare cuts and subsidies embedded in the reform bill. Not to mention, there remains strong public opposition to empowering government panels to set limits on future access to care and what kind of health plans the uninsured can have. What Americans do support are proposals to buy plans that reward healthy behavior, encourage saving and investing for future health needs, and policies that reward future treatments and cures.
The CMPI-A/PJM poll demonstrates an extremely high level of concern with the current bill:
· Six in ten Americans (60%) agree that a current Democrat proposal to send the Senate health care bill to the president without voting up or down on it is unfair.
· Most Americans oppose (81%) health care reforms that would increase insurance premiums for healthy people to offset premiums of people who wait until they are diagnosed with an illness to purchase insurance.

The title is short a several reallys.
The only problem I have with a health savings plan is that the government will borrow that money for special projects as they have done with Social Security. A plan needs to be put in place that completely and totally protects that money for the life of the investor. If the investor dies, the money needs to go to his/her family.
· Most Americans oppose (81%) health care reforms that would increase insurance premiums for healthy people to offset premiums of people who wait until they are diagnosed with an illness to purchase insurance.
Interesting, considering all other polling shows American support mandating coverage of pre-existing conditions. Guess they haven’t considered what that means.
The government needs to get the hell out of the health care industry. Their meddling is, always has been, and always will be the cause of the problems.
The federal government is more of a threat to your health, welfare, prosperity, property, liberty, and peace than any external threat.
And the DemocRATS don’t care what the American people want. This stupid drama of these RATs who supposedly “are a ‘NO’ vote” then days later they turn is absolute Bravo Sierra! These scumbags were going to vote “yes” regardless; they were just holding out for some goodies while they screw the American people! Dirt bags ALL!!!
Interestingly, I tried to find this thread by searching the word “really” and the search engine did not find it. I thought it had been deleted.
And totally off topic.
I feel the MSM and the internet are two completely different realities. I see this story here, but if you go to Yahoo, the TOP story is:
Obama’s health care plan picks up support (AP)
The information in both places is technically true, but there is a different “emphasis” at yahoo.

Code Red - House Target List on Health Care
The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obamas announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the fixer bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.
At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote yes for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senators office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.
When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senators office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senators answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!
We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!

This is from a 2007 contact list of congressional aides. Some might not be there any longer, but worth a try.

Oh Really? Wait until the fudge really starts hitting the fan:
Madame Wicked-Witch-of-the-West is sky-writing "Surrender Dorothy" with the fumes from her smelly broom. DON'T GIVE UP. The wretched Pelosi doesn't have the votes, and we can make double-dog sure it stays that way
Here's the official Code Red List for the selected HOUSE DEMOCRATS THAT NEED TO BE PUSHED HARDEST.
The clickable links go to their online Message System. You can use the same City, State, Zip, and Area Codes as one of their local district offices (usually listed on the same page) with any street address you want --- you're using local information to get through their spam filter. For Zip+4, use any 4 digits added onto the local Zip Code you selected above.
Write a brief, punchy letter in your Word Program, and cut-and-paste it to one congresscritter after another from the CODE RED LIST.
It is easy to do 15 or 20 of them in an hour.
Each Congressional website also has the phone, fax, and district office addresses for each Representative. Dont have Fax? www.faxzero.com allows 2 free Faxes per day, available to anyone with internet.
I strongly urge you to phone, fax, and if at all possible, personally visit a District Office. This makes a maximum impression.
