During the ObamaCare summit three weeks ago, Nancy Pelosi declared that the bill would create four million jobs over the next ten years, with 400,000 new jobs created almost immediately. Pelosi relied on a study written by the left-wing advocacy group Center for American Progress for those figures, although the Bureau of Labor Statistics already predicts growth in the health-care industry of 3.2 million jobs without ObamaCare. Now, Americans for Tax Reform and the Beacon Hill Institute have conducted their own study using CAPs methodology and determined that ObamaCare will destroy jobs, not create them. Hot Air has an exclusive first look at the BHI executive summary:

I’m starting to think that financial and economic predictions are as useless as global warming predictions. Who can really know what something as complicated as the economy will do?

FACT CHECK: Premiums would rise under Obama plan
700,000 jobs lost by 2019? When you compare that number to how many have been destroyed just in 2009 to now alone...that really doesn’t seem like much. I think this is the low ball number. I bet the real number is in the millions.
I would have thought the number would be 10-100x larger.
Create jobs? Perhaps, but who would pay for those jobs? Oh, wait, the taxpayer. We are in a huge fiscal pit and the only solution these people offer is a new entitlement which will ensure that it only gets deeper (and fills with water).
I said this from the get go. Obama will appoint someone to regulate the insurance companies therefore shutting down all but the insurance company (ies) that are in bed with Obama. Then MANY will lose jobs.
They don’t think they have to vote for this because it is pure communism anyway so why bother...
That’s it?
Oh wait, by 2019
700,00 will be the amount of people in US who actually HAVE jobs.
I don’t know if we’ll make it to may day.
Geeze. I thought we are shedding 400K jobs a month at present. So only 700K lost by 2019 would actually represent a big decrease in job losses.
Boy! That coupled with the 500,000,000 jobs that Pelosi says we're currently losing every month is going to put the U.S. in a hole here one of these months.
Lucky for us that 0's HCR is going to lower everybody's premium by 3000%. s/
What a pack of dipchits we have running the show.
I have never despised anyone as much as I depise Pelosi. She is perhaps the most corrupt, immoral, bigoted, radical person to ever serve in congress.
Gosh! I hate San Francisco.
See my last post. Someone needs to do a study of the Aetna,Nationwide,State Farm, AFLAC et el and how many they all employ. These people will be out of jobs.
These people won’t

VERY INTERESTING....PING!!!
Along with this first round of massive job loss will come loss of AAA credit rating and hyperinflation. Hussein will use the chaos to suspend the Constitution for the “duration”.
Remember, you must break the will of the American people by bringing them to their knees financially, then they will be ALL TOO WILLING to embrace Government assistance of any kind and will be most compliant.
Her family ruled Baltimore before they ruled SF
Google it.
I be that many of us are in total agreement with you re this being a Low Ball estimate.

Beside probably 5-10,000,000 jobs lost in the first year or so post passage, the loss of future jobs will be incredible.
No one will hire anyone.
Everyone will become and will hire consultants or people by the hour to do a job for each day they work.
Millions of Boomers failed to save or lost money during the meltdown. They will never be able to fully retire. So they will be glad to work for 2-3 days a week with no benefits at an hourly rate with no guarantees.
