Seems on second look to be kvetching about supposed over-conservative changes that Texas has asked for in history school books. Taking into consideration who's kvetching and who's taking action, to me it sounds more like stuff from the ultra slanted A People's History Of America is finally getting rooted out of the books.

I am reminded of an excerpt of a 1907 letter from Ambrose Bierce that I once read:

But I'd never set foot in San Francisco. Of all the Sodoms and Gomorrahs in our modern world it is the worst. There are not ten righteous (and courageous) men there.
