Republican candidates have now stretched their lead over Democrats to 10 points in the Generic Congressional Ballot, their biggest lead ever in nearly three years of weekly tracking. The GOP has been leading on the ballot for months.

The new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 45% would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate while 35% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent. Voter support for GOP congressional candidates increased slightly from last week, while support for Democrats fell two points.

Let’s hope the trend continues. No matter what health-care will be a campaign issue for years to come.

Probably a good time to start a guillotine manufacturing business. I wonder how much the start up costs would be?

Progressives are trying to write this off as Americans don't like to see the making of sausage. What they fail to grasp is that the issue isn't the process, it's that Americans don't want poisoned sausage no matter how it's made.

All the individual dems are going to try to say “I didn’t vote for it”.

The repubs had better be ready to finally stand up and call them what they are: LIARS.

And you know what’s going to happen?

Once this idiotic “health-care” fiasco is concluded, “immigration reform” will start up, douchebags like Graham and McCain will support it, and the GOP advantage will go in the dumper.

Hopefully the republicans don’t give us some more Jack Ryans or we’re going to end up getting more hussein obamas.

Everyone knows the demos are pathetic. The republicans need to prove that they aren’t.

No more McLame’s please.

No, if they go with reconciliation in the Senate, it will blow up the chamber for the remainder of this session.

We are approaching a point of a cataclysmic gulf between the parties.

You don’t overhaul the social fabric of the nation and endanger 20 percent of our nation’s economy on a strictly partisan basis - so said Sen Olympia Snowe.

November can’t come soon enough.

I’d volunteer, Izzy. But I’m tied up being a generic grass-roots volunteer.

I know a few generic candidates who need to drop out and endorse the other conservative. The one who has built up a more credible campaign.

But does it matter will there be an actual election? I am sensing a crisis that may supercede the election.. Never trust a rat in the corner.
