A bit more reading reveals that:

Garn knew the girl when she was in fourth grade, age 9.
He was her sunday school teacher, and remained in a position of moral authority over her during the entire time of their "encounters."
The "hot tub" incident (she claims that there were numerous) occurred when she was 15, at the time an "employee" of Garn's. That indicates that she was "hired" at age 13 or 14, perhaps. And what job can a 15 year old "employee" do for company?
Garn and his LDS superiors used there positions of moral authority (for whatever that's worth) to ignore and cover up his behavior.
Garn, his church, his wife and son were used to coerce this girl/woman with guilt and religion.

The guy is a predator, a pervert, and a pedophile.

Well, now perhaps his resignation today will simply reaffirm facts like these.

Why did the Deseret Newspaper, owned by the LDS church, sit on this story again for 8 years again?

And, as I mentioned in post #4, the Lds "prophet" has received info directly from Maher since '08. (So he knew details, too)
