WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama will offer changes to his healthcare overhaul this week, the White House said on Monday, and a leading Democrat said the president was preparing a smaller version of his broad bid to revamp the $2.5 trillion industry.

After a healthcare "summit" last week failed to win Republican converts, Obama and his fellow Democrats have been expected to launch a final push for an overhaul using a process known as reconciliation to get the measure through the Senate without opposition support.

"The president will speak on this later in the week, likely on Wednesday," said White House spokesman Robert Gibbs. "He'll discuss process and policy."

Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the House of Representatives, said Obama would soon propose a healthcare bill "much smaller" than either the bill passed by the House or the one passed by the Senate.

Smaller as in tossing Senate and House versions in favor of a more modest Bill.

Bill was not modest. Oh.. never mind.

It’ll still have the essentials of government control and regulation and a tax on all insurance to fund abortions. Just my prediction.

After a healthcare "summit" last week failed to win Republican converts,

Please, picking his nose, flicking his buggers and snarling at Republicans is not likely to win any Republican converts.

Kill the stupid bill.

Well it was to be expected that he would be on tv again this week. He never has got out of campaign mode and needs his “It’s not about me” fix. looks like smoking is not his only addiction.

I'd name a couple more addictions I think he has , but that might get me in trouble.

Reconciliation does not work because if it does the socialists would have tried it long time ago when they were in much better political situation than they are in now.

His new bill is very simple, ever person within the U.S. will pay $500.00 per month for mandatoy health coverage, or be sent to jail for 25 years, and for this $500.00 per month you will get no medical insurance because his lips were moving.
