Just check out eviction laws in DC ot see what every mortgager (and presumably landlord) in the US may be facing....
that “thud” in the background was the US banking industry hitting the bottom of a deep shaft entitled “THE END OF CONTRACT LAW”

symbolism over substance.
they are rejecting the modifications ALREADY.
AND the insurance companies are piling on since banks HAVE to buy insurance and the insurance rates are so high for mandatory coverage that they are automatically rejected.

Isn’t this interfering with a private contract? The constitution prohibits states from interfering in contracts...and I don’t see anywhere that this power is granted to the federal gubment. Shouldn’t a constitutional scholar (I laugh when I say he’s a ‘scholar’) like Obama know better.

Obama May Ban All Foreclosures Without Review by Loan-Modification Program... Unless some recent legislation has given a president this power I don't think he can do this.

Nice.....
Instead of allowing the market to work itself out banks are forced to keep carrying bad assets on their books.

Obama May Ban All Foreclosures... How exactly does he propose to do this? Is King Douchebag under the impression that the executive can wave a finger and ban foreclosures?
