Did you see the faces in the crowd, specifically the guy on the far left...unambiguous hostility.
If you lie in court it’s perjury, but if you violate your oath of office it seems to be just fine!
I watch it 3 times and...I never saw anyone laugh about saying the pledge...except the lady at the podium when asked...that they say the pledge.
I guess I missed it...no I still don’t see anyone laughing..

A political operative for another candidate basically launched an ambush and caught everyone off-guard. I didn’t see anything about people laughing at the pledge as much as nervous laughter by this random guy jumping up into an organized gathering and tossing out demands.
Stop acting like the crazies over at DU and the Daily KOS, this is the sort of stuff that makes conservatives look plain silly.
This “Peter cries wolf” stuff only kills credibility for when Dems like Becerra really screw up. The average person is going to look at this as over-blown and then not take any REAL criticism of Becerra as legitimate.

Uhhhhmmmmm....I would love to have my dislike of all Dems to be confirmed...I’ve heard a different version of this event, and that is, that this was a setup. The story goes, that this video, was started about a half hour *after* the meeting had begun. That the initial laughter was a laugher of surprise at the suggestion , when it seemed incongruous. But that even so, they all got up and did the Pledge, and all laughter had stopped by the end of the recitation, whereupon the attendants clapped.
Looking forward to finding out what the real story is.

This is exactly what I heard and I have no reason to believe that its inaccurate. The guy jumped up after the meeting had been going on for sometime and just started talking. He caught everyone off-guard.
I’m sick of this ambush-journalism BS. If there’s a story out there, then get it, but stop with this wannabe Dan Rather/Mary Mapes bullcrap. This just goes to show that the right has its own share of idiots as well.
