The truth hurts rape liar

A young mother who falsely cried rape, sending an innocent man to prison for nearly four years, will experience firsthand what he suffered -- she'll spend one to three years behind bars for perjury.

"I wish her the best of luck," said William McCaffrey last night of Biurny Peguero Gonzalez.

"Jail isn't easy."

McCaffrey, 33, of The Bronx, was locked up after Gonzalez accused him of raping her at knifepoint on a Bronx street back in 2005.

I would imagine that whatever she faces in prison will be even worse than the attack she alleged.

Yes, I remember Linda Blair in Born Innocent. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, though. But I was not falsely imprisoned for four years.

"McCaffrey's long rap sheet of violent arrests."

I'd be interested to know a little more about this.

That being said, this is a horrible crime.

Former WRKO mid morning host Reese Hopkins is still in Riker’s Island awaiting trial since being accused of Rape in October of 2008. Every court appearance gets “adjourned” and they send him back to THE GANG UNIT! This is his punishment for not taking a plea bargain that would have released him on Time Served if he registers as a Sex Offender. Hey, Professor Skip Gates, got Eric Holder’s cell phone number?!

It serves the purpose of reassuring the herd that this guy must have been guilty of something, and that this could never happen to somebody who didn’t really deserve it anyway.

She should serve the entire three years + one.

Actually, if she stays out of trouble in jail, her max is TWO years [1/3 off for good behavior]. And since she got a 1-3, she may wind up in some work release/ halfway house after in-processing.

Yeah, probably. Just curious about the record is all.

Had a story here in PA a few years ago about a guy who supposedly did time for a rape he didn't commit, was let out and then really did rape and kill an innocent girl.

I am suspicious about some "exonerations" but in this case it seems to be true.

Once again, the Bible's got it right on this one...

"If a false witness rises against any man to testify against him of wrongdoing, then both men in the controversy shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges who serve in those days. And the judges shall make careful inquiry, and indeed, if the witness is a false witness, who has testified falsely against his brother, then you shall do to him as he thought to have done to his brother; so you shall put away the evil from among you." (Deu 19:16-19)
