Amnesty an issue in AZ GOP primary

The head of an immigration enforcement PAC believes Arizona Senator John McCain will be defeated in the GOP primary if he supports a Senate amnesty proposal.

When J.D. Hayworth was in the U.S. House, he made a name for himself as an unwavering opponent of illegal immigration, but he was defeated for re-election in 2006. Now presenting himself as "the consistent conservative," he is trying to end the 24-year career of fellow Republican John McCain by challenging him in the August GOP Senate primary.

William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) -- who has been a firm critic of McCain, particularly on the issue of illegal immigration -- thinks Hayworth has a great shot at beating McCain.

McShamnesty had ALWAYS supported amnesty. He just calls it “comprehensive immigration reform,” (sic).

He’ll lie and deny it, but nobody is fooled.

Anybody have that picture of McShamnesty laughing it up with Nancy Grahmnesty and Teddy Kennedy when they thought amnesty was going through last time?

J.D. has a great chance at winning as long as he isn’t endorsed by our liberal rag, The Arizona People’s Republic. I’m pretty sure they’ll endorse the more leftwing candidate though.

I'm waiting for Jim DeMint to hold a “Money Bomb” for JD.

It was easy to go up against Crist let's see if he'll knock heads with MCCain, I hope so!

I don't think I've ever seen the pic you are referring to, but I know of this one:

It has to be hard to support the opponent of one of your fellow sitting senators. We shall see.

I wrote his web site to urge him to hold a money bomb for JD.

If we can defeat McCain, it will send a message to the Republican political class that even their offices are not safe.

Plus, it will finish off whatever moderate pols there are in the demoRat party.

Can you imagine the hue and cry of the MSM if JD beats McCain. They will be lavishing all kinds of praise and complements on McCain insinuating he is the voice of bipartisan cooperation and those who voted for JD are... well they'll probably say we're violent racist Nazis.
