Brown for President in 2012? No Joke, Supporters Say
Fox News ^ | Feb 13, 2010 | FoxNews

He's only been a senator for a week but the drumbeat already has begun for Scott Brown to run for president in 2012.

After the Massachusetts Republican captured the seat previously held by Ted Kennedy in an upset election last month, ending the Democrats supermajority in the Senate, Brown's supporters have launched a Facebook page devoted to discussing a potential presidential bid.

They've also scooped up several "Scott Brown for President" domain names, including scottbrown2012.com, scottbrown2016.com and scottbrownforpresident.com -- a site that offers "Scott Brown for President" bumper stickers.

And a new Gallup poll ranks Brown fourth among 11 potential GOP presidential contenders who voters would like to see as the nominee.

A tidbit I just ran across:

Brown to crash at Thompson pad

http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2010/02/brown_to_crash.html

Now Scott Brown and former Tennessee senator and actor Fred Thompson have another thing in common: the same residence.

Massachusetts’ newest senator is going to rent Thompson’s six-room condo on Pennsylvania Avenue while Brown and his family look for a more permanent place to live.

Whoa. I think we have already seen what a fast rise from Senator to the White House can bring. On the ticket you propose, Palin is the one with the Executive experience.

Run her as the Presidential candidate and give Brown some time to season as veep. With that experience, we will all know if he is ready, and he will know if he wants the job.

If both, then there is a shot at a full four term run (two for her, two for him as POTUS).

At the rate things are going, any decent dog could beat Obama in 2012, the question becomes one of filling the White House with someone who 'gets it' and is ready to do the job.

just my $0.02

I don’t think we need another President who hasn’t even filled out a full term in the elected position. Let the guy get experience.

I bet Romney has a dartboard with Scott Brown’s face on it.

“I’m Scott Brown and I drive a truck” ::THUMP::

“Let the guy get experience”

Sure, we did so well against the Dems with Republicans with experience, like Bob Dole, Bush I, McCain...

The focus should be on who can beat Obama. Scott Brown PROVED he can win in a bluest of blue state. He won in MA, he can win in all 50 states, handing the Dems a devastating defeat.

Well, it's either Palin, Brown, or Eric Cartman.

He won a Senate run in Massachussetts. That doesn't get him the vote in flyover country, and he won't get elected without it.

I'm not saying he hasn't done well, nor am I saying he does not understand what has the electorate p.o.ed at incumbents and their current philosophies.

I am saying the guy does not have any track record at the national level.

He has just made it to the major league and you are pushing him for the Hall of Fame.

Let's see how well he does first.

Our current president has no experience...strike that, experience in destroying our country by running the Soros playbook.

Experience is crap.

With all due respect, and I voted for Senator Brown, state senator to senator to president is a questionable career trajectory (for the county, that is). Executive experience is a definite plus for a presidential candidate.

I am NOT in favor of him running for POTUS in 2012.

Chez Fred, called the Residences at Market Square, is in a neighborhood of federal office buildings, including the National Archives and US Navy Memorial.

It has an underground garage, though a Brown aide didn't know whether Brown will park his now-famous truck there.
