You misunderstand my point. When all hell is breaking loose, you look to control those things you can. What can the judges do to capture the 7000 convicts?
This is about mustering what dignity they can. It may be a bit sad and pathetic, but at least they have a poit of view that should be understood.
so if those 10 women were brutally gang raped by the guards while there, so what? its all about Haiti getting its national dignity back?

I agree, I have no doubt they’re being treated well but Haiti has to make a serious point here, not to the US but to their own people that the government is still functioning and will defend it’s citizens.
The only point of view they have is how much money can I shake these “rich” white people down for?
