The Tenth Amendment Town Hall

Special Event: Tenth Amendment Town Hall
Exploring Solutions to Restoring Texas' Constitutional Rights

February 15, 2010 - 8:30am to 1:30pm - Plano, Texas

You are invited to a very special event hosted by the Texas Conservative Coalition (TCC).

Trillion-dollar bailouts, record deficits, a proposed government takeover of health care, job-killing environmental regulations, and looming tax increases.  The excessive power being wielded over states and individuals by the federal government must stop.  The Tenth Amendment Town Hall hosted by TCC will serve as forum to explore solutions to both restore the constitutional rights of the State of Texas and its people, and to roll back the growing power and influence of the federal government.

The event will feature a keynote address by Judge Andrew Napolitano (author and Fox News Contributor), as well as remarks by nationally-prominent constitutional scholars.  Governor Rick Perry and Attorney General Greg Abbott will also participate in this event.

The Town Hall will also feature three panel discussions:

Stop with the 10th amendment already unless they are willing to disable the IRS in their states. There is no 10th as long as you cannot control the outflow.

Texas has actually been making moves for almost a year to block any unconstitutional legislation under 10th amendment rights.

This is a great start. There is no doubt that Texas can survive without any help from the communists King Obama's Government. It has seaports for imports and exports, plenty of food being grown, oil, etc. It could become, if it had to, a Nation by itself. On the bottom of the line, California is a gutless communists controlled State and would not survive a breakaway. It has lost most of the intelligent humans. A few of us that are left are Constitutional conservatives and will eventually get the hell out.

Someone has to do it.

Talk is cheap, but bedpans are unsanitary.

"Governor Perry and Judge Napolitano will discuss how to protect Texas from the fed's infringement through unconstitutional law."

Wow! Is this the same Judge Nepolitano that said that Ron Paul was a present day Thomas Jefferson? You remember, Ron, the one you have mentioned a time or two.

Never heard of him. But if he is someone who, like Jefferson, is willing to preemptively go after muslum pirates to stop their attacks on US property (ships), he must be cool.

Good grief! Wouldn’t it be easier to force Obama’s hand by obliging him to fully identify himself? Don’t we have a SCOTUS and a Congress? What the hell is wrong with this country? Are we already under a dictatorship?

I hate to break it to you, but Texas is far behind in this effort!

Check out Georgia’s Ray McBerry:
http://georgiafirst.org/governor/sra.shtml
This guy is openly pleading to interpose against Federal gun laws enforcement by throwing Federal agents that attempt to enforce them in jail.

On top of that the Georgia State legislator IS ALREADY looking at bills to requiring that and much more.

No body messes with Georgia and gets away with it!

Texas has a lot of catch up work to do, just to get her even with Georgia and other states.

Thanks dynachrome!

Any and all encouragement and support by Freepers from Texas or otherwise will certainly help move these efforts along. Saber rattling by The States is just beginning and Texas can be the 800 lb gorilla in the room. As Texas goes, so goes the 10th Amendment movement???

The Great State of Texas can and should lead the parade!

Please ~ping~ me to articles relating to the 10th Amendment/States Rights so I can engage the pinger.

I've stopped monitoring threads and unilaterally adding names to the ping list, so if you want on or off the list just say so.

Stopping the outflow is up to the person in the mirror. Stop looking for government - any level - to do what individuals must do for themselves.

BTW, if there is no 10th Amendment - or a need for it - repeal it. I welcome that fight.
