Night flights will be allowed at Nevatim but not at Megiddo [in the Galilee), he explained. An airport at Megiddo is liable to security problems because it is so close to the Green Line, while Nevatim is not subject to such problems.

At Nevatim, the longest airstrip in the Middle East allows all types of aircraft to land and take off, and there are logistical facilities of the highest international standards. The airport in the Negev is already there. It must now be adapted and transformed into an international airport with a terminal that will provide hundreds of thousands of new jobs.

You want me to fly into Nevatim - fine, so long as I can drive to Jerusalem by way of Hebron. Otherwise, tell them they’re dreaming.
