He doesn’t have an elder to come to his aid. If he wants to call the majority of the voting bloc in Mass. a “joke”, let him.

How hard can it be to be a Kennedy? Enough wealth in the family so you never have to worry about starving, and as long as you don’t kill someone in a drunken car accident, you are pretty much at the top of the moral and ethical heap.

You’re forgetting Caroline.

But serously, that’s a good point you raise. This next generation of entitlement Kennedys is going to have to stand on their own, er, *merits*.

Patches, do you realize that at least one or two of the Governors councilors got calls from pinky-ring thugs this week asking them to take a powder before the certification, so the hacks could claim there wasnt a quorum and hold up Browns swearing-in?

Hopefully this will be the last generation with a public life. Don’t think the Schwartzenegger dynasty is going to have staying power either.

Yes. . . that last line caught my attention the most.
In part why my first thought was the wheels are coming off when they began to share the crap and bovine scatology that is behind the scenes

[edit] “Patches” nickname
Kennedy is often refered to as “Patches”, mostly by detractors. This originated with Howie Carr, a Boston area radio host. He referenced a blues song by Clarence Carter with the following lyrics : “But I would remember what my daddy said,With tears in his eyes on his dyin bed. He said, “Patches, I’m depending on you so, To pull the family through. My son it’s all left up to you.”[3]
