Kennedys shaken as GOP eyes R.I. too

The Kennedy political dynasty is shaking in the aftershock of U.S. Sen. Scott Brown’s earth-shattering election, with a new poll showing U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy losing ground as he faces a well-financed GOP foe backed by Brown’s top strategists.

The WPRI-12 poll showed the Rhode Island Democrat with a 56 percent unfavorability rating in his district - a negative that grows to 62 percent statewide.

Only 35 percent of voters in Kennedy’s district said they would vote to re-elect him. Another 31 percent said they’d consider a different candidate and 28 percent said they would vote to replace him, according to the poll.

Republican John J. Loughlin II, a veteran state lawmaker, formally announced his campaign yesterday against Kennedy, saying the son of liberal icon Edward M. Kennedy is out of touch with Rhode Island voters as he seeks a ninth two-year term

Wow. What an influential but sordid history the Kennedy family had on America.

Out of touch with RI votes? He’s out of touch with reality period. Isn’t he the one who bounces in and out of rehab for drug use?

"Wow, a Kennedy-free America. What a concept!"

Let him get a job with Hugo (The Red) Chavez - like his ex-congressman cousin Joe Kennedy.

Why are K. hated.

The only decent pols out of the whole gaggle were JFK and MAAAYBE RFK.

The rest are Dumb white trash, that should be living off their inheritences ( Teddie Blew it a long time ago) in the South of France.

They are the poster children for the idea that money doesn’t make you intelligent or enlightened.

Joe Kennedy was the head or RKO and MGM studios at the same time. He may have been ruthless and unprincipled but he was a fantastic businessman.

I think that the law said (and says) that one must be dead for 5 years before appearing on currency unless the president waives the restriction. And if the law has no such carve-out, then surely Congress could have approved a special law allowing Kennedy to go on the half-dollar coin (remember, one Congress can’t bind another).

FDR died in 1945 and was on the dime the next year, and Eisenhower died in 1969 and was on the (silverless) dollar coin two years later, so obviously the five-year limitation was not impossible to get around.

Now that we know that LBJ killed John F Kennedy, it’s time to get that clown’s name off the Houston Space Center.

We also know that the cross dressing pervert J Edgar Hoover (who LBJ made FBI Director for LIFE as his reward for his part in the assassination) needs to have his name removed from the FBI building.

By exposing these two traitors for what they did it will start the cleansing of America. It is far past time that we took the trash out in Washington, the truth will set us free.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=ira+einhorn+specter&rlz=1R2ADFA_enUS343&aq=f&aqi=&oq=

http://www.nationalreview.com/miller/miller200404080822.asp

Einhorn was a celebrated leftist and is credited with helping found Earth Day. He also had strong ties to Philadelphia elites — a group of people Specter was cultivating for his prospective Senate campaign when he agreed to become Einhorn’s lawyer.

At an arraignment, the government demanded a $100,000 bail for Einhorn. Before Judge William Marutani, Specter called this “excessively excessive” and insisted on a reduced figure. Marutani wondered if Einhorn might “split for parts unknown.” He mentioned Norway as a possible destination. “I have to disagree with your last statement,” replied Specter. “Anybody is as likely to go to Norway as anybody else.” Through the future senator’s efforts, Einhorn’s bail was dropped to $40,000. The accused man only had to put out ten percent of it in cash to secure his release.

As things turned out, Specter was proven correct: Einhorn didn’t flee for Norway. He went to Sweden instead, slipping out of the United States shortly before his murder trial was scheduled to begin. Einhorn remained a fugitive until 1997, when police found him living in France under a phony name with his Swedish wife. He was eventually extradited to the United States. In 2002, he was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.

I think the assassination was a done deal when John Kennedy’s father, Joseph P. Kennedy, arranged to purchase the election for his son in Chicago with Mayor Dailey, Sr.’s help (dead people voting multiple times in Chicago). Kennedy took the election with a very narrow margin over Johnson

I'm confused here. Are you talking about the 1960 general election? JFK won the Dem nomination over LBJ, but ran in the general election against Nixon. Yes, the general election was stolen due to Mayor Daley's machinations, but not from LBJ - it was stolen from Nixon.

[[Why are the Kennedies that much hated?]

You can get a pass because of your ignorance of history and also because you a perfect example of the result of a ‘Kennedy Style’ education.

I think Kennedy’s RI ticket was all about his father. Now his father’s gone, he’s toast. I think most people can see that he’s basically an overgrown adolescent with mental and substance abuse issues who’s also not very bright.

Wow. That speaks to the power of the Kennedys in spades. I never believed the long gunman theory; never will. Very sad to hear what happened to your husband.
