The Mittwits have this bizarre fantasy that everyone who’s against Mitt supports Huckabee.
Romney dropped once McCain had surmounted a huge enough advantage. He could have stayed in the race and got a lot more delegates but instead he did what was good for the party, dropped, backed McCain to the hilt and beyond that helped our candidates in others races, most recently helping Scott Brown get elected.
In any event, the post that you are responding to was the asked for and given evidence to another poster asking for me to demonstrate Romney’s popularity on Free Republic in 2008.
I guess his handlers have learned a BUNCH since then!!
The climate for a candidate can vary from one election to another. Reagan was defeated by Gerald Ford after all. He came back alright.
Perhaps 2012 will be the right time for Romney. Maybe not. As it stands today, he has my vote in the primary until and unless someone I feel is better comes along.
