Coakley’s Top Ten

Here are ten things you should know about Democrat Martha Coakley going into Tuesday’s Massachusetts Senate election.

1. She stated explicitly that pro-life Catholics shouldn’t work in the medical professions; in other words, Catholics have no right to act upon their conscience while performing their jobs. That’s a clear violation of freedom of religion. In Coakley’s words: “You can have religious freedom but you probably shouldn’t work in the emergency room.”

Heckuva Job, Brownie!

All week liberals have been in full-panic mode that a real election is about to take place in the closest thing in America to North Korea. The fear among libbies is so overwhelming, the poor little dears even forgot how to spell Massashoesettes.

Attempting to panic liberals even more, Scott Brown shared the stage at a rally yesterday with "Cheers" star John Ratzenberger, Boston College football hero Doug Flutie, Curt Schilling and many other Yankee fans, as Martha Coakley would erroneously say.

Left-wing lunatic Ed Schultz of MSNBC admitted on his radio show that, if he lived in Massachusetts, he would gladly commit election fraud "to keep the [GOP] bastards out" -- even voting ten times if he had to, which shocked everyone who didn't know he could count.

"Yeah, that's right," he sneered. "If I lived in Massachusetts, I'd try to vote ten times" -- as opposed to his custom of voting five or six times.

With Schulz admitting on the air to being a thief and openly advocating cheating, Democrats might beg him again to run for "Byron Dorgan's Senate seat" in North Dakota. He declined a recent invite, citing his devotion to his radio listeners -- all two of them. He's shooting for three listeners by 2011!

Stepford Democrat Geraldine Ferraro, defending fellow Stepford Democrat Martha Coakley, lyingly told Fox News that she was relieved to see polls showing a liberal struggling to win an election in Massachusetts because these polls would serve as a wake-up call for Democrats. You'll recall this kind of brilliant thinking catapulted the Mondale-Ferraro ticket to victory in a total of one state.

So far, Coakley's winning campaign strategy consists of not recognizing Curt Schilling's name, not knowing how to spell Massachoosettes, announcing that terrorists are gone from Afghanistan, saying Catholic workers should be gone from the emergency room, mocking Scott Brown for shaking hands with normal people outside Fenway Park, having her staff assault a reporter, dragging around Ted Kennedy's widow to show she's independent and pledging to vote for legislation voters vehemently oppose. (In fairness, Coakley's defenders say she now knows Fenway Park is a ballpark in Boston and that Boston Red Sox players are not Yankee fans.)

Coakley promises to be the disastrous 60th vote in favor of the hated and despised ObamaCare scam and to faithfully carry out the Teddy Kennedy legacy -- enough to give you pause about getting in a car with her.

Since the Democrat nut base isn't fired-up about Coakley, she could have tried pledging to be just like anti-Vietnam War "war hero" John Kerry, accusing her colleagues of being murderers and rapists. But enough about Ted Kennedy.

Hoping for some of that Jon Corzine magic, Coakley invited Obama to campaign for her and drone on and on about his bank tax, which should be worth a few extra points for Brown in the polls.

Obama also complained about Brown's pickup truck, contrasting it with Coakley's carbon-neutral alternative, consisting of flying around on a broom stick.

In light of Obama's visit, Charlie Cook moved the race from 'toss-up' to 'leans Brown,' prompting Harry Reid to think Deval Patrick was running.

Obama is so nervous about this election, yesterday he attended church services. In remarks at the church, he even spoke kindly of a Republican, Martin Luther King. He put in a plug for God as well, but actually he was just speaking of himself in the second person.

Hussein -- who's pushing taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand, socialist medicine, cradle-to-the-grave government, deficit spending into oblivion, civilian trials for terrorists, jail time for the uninsured -- urged Americans to go back to their "core values". Massachusetts just might take him up on that by electing Scott Brown tomorrow.

Which gets us back to the point that this election is more than just about the delusional Coakley and her dazzling campaign skills in a state where electing a Democrat has been the default mode for decades. Just as polls got worse for Democrats in Virginia and New Jersey the more Obama campaigned for them, the polling keeps getting worse for Democrats everywhere the bigger the push for Obama's botched healthcare and deranged crap-and-trade fetishes. While Coakley was measuring the drapes, Scott Brown worked to lay the trap and 'nationalize' the race on his terms, a process known technically as 'pointing out the Obama record.' The self-parodic response from Obama and Coakley campaign honchos has been to take the bait and not notice Brown had already 'nationalized' the election before they could, while driving all of Brown's points home about the hapless Obama and Coakley being only marginally attached to reality, if that. And, as they say, if it works in Massachusetts, it'll work anywhere.

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

Very nice, John. I’ll use that to explain the situation to my more vacuous family members.

The cherry on top of the sundae came yesterday with Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), while talking to the reporters after the 0bama rally .... He referred to Martha as MARCIA!
MARCIA MARCIA MARCIA, you’ve got a KENNEDY campaigning for you who doesn’t even know your name!

Great piece! Very Anne Coulter-ish, but even better at the witticisms. Fun and easy to read....as well as informative.
