I once landed at Deadhorse and exited without much concern.
Wind was blowing heavily. I put my non-gloved hand on the metal handrail of the stairs, jerking it back in pain.
I bundled my coat around me because I hadn’t bothered to zip it up for the short walk to the terminal.
I ran inside thinking “DAMN ITS COLD”.
I looked at the weather screen. Windchill -72°F.
No gloves, open coat.
Be careful. The weather up there can be unforgiving and stupid (like mine) can be rather punishing.
