So that’s where Al Gore hid the global warming.

I really think someone should take Al Gore to where the coldest weather in the country is today and let him stand in the square and tell us about Global Warming, make sure he is wearing shorts and t shirt..we would not want him to get to hot standing there..

Thank goodness for Al Gore, he got rid of global warming, and thanks to gore again, because if he had not invented the Internet, we would not be getting these reports...

Time to stay in front of the woodstove. We live in the Sierra’s in California and our woodstove is our life line. We loose power a few times a year and that stove is a life saver during the winter. I’ve live in areas where it would get to -17. I moved out, not my thing.

Had a minus 31 here in SD the other morning, looking for -25 tonight, and that’s not a wind chill, just an ambient temp. Wind chills are supposed to drive into the -70’s tonight. Time to break out the Carharrt and put away the jean jacket. Our Alaskan friends would probably like to vacation here to get away from the really cold stuff.

You do live in LA so I guess it balances out

Pennsylvania is cold
California is broke, liberal, unemployed and overrun with illegals

Pennsylvania will be warm by May.

Several years ago I read that they were going to start conducting experiments on human 'brown fat' -- to see if chilling the small amount of brown fat on the adult human being, which is located around the neck area and highest part of the chest, if it would boost metabolism to the point seen in lab animals.

Do any of you know if there are any results in yet, about this?

I'm not wearing a scarf this week, HOPING to have a little weight loss, without trying, LOL

Does only the neck area have to be chilled, or does the total adult body need to get chilled???

I understand the reason why babies are so nice & cuddly warm is because their fat content is 85% brown fat, unlike adults who maybe have a mere 5 percent.
