Emanuel is 'Fed Up' with Israel and Palestinians
INN ^ | 1/6/09 | Gil Ronen

(IsraelNN.com) The United States is “fed up” with Israelis who "adopt the right ideas too late," and also with the “Palestinians who always miss opportunities,” White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel angrily told an Israeli diplomat recently.

IDF Army Radio reported that Emanuel said this in a meeting with Israel's Consul in Los Angeles, Yaki Dayan, two and a half weeks ago.

Dayan reported to the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem that Emanuel said: “We are fed up with you Israelis who adopt the correct ideas several months too late, so that they become inefficient. In addition, we are also fed up with the Palestinians, who never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. If there is no progress in the diplomatic process, we will reduce our involvement and effort in the conflict, because we have other matters to deal with.”

Boo hoo the poor foul mouthed Chicago punk found out the Middle East isn’t easy. Poor little thug.

Translation: It takes forever for the Israelis to be pushed toward suicide, and then when Rahm forces such a mistake on Israel, the Palestinians demonstrate they are bloodthirsty no matter what you give them.

Does it seem like the White House chief of staff role is a little over-reaching to be having meetings or discussions with foreign diplomats?

Jewish liberals soaked their panties after the Messiah's election, sending each other emails touting Rahm's family's history in the battles to create Israel. Such a Patriot!

I didn't have the heart to tell them Rahm is just an AMERICAN punk...whose ancestry is irrelevant.

Yep, this is also how Carter tried to present his foreign credentials - by brokering a Palestinian/Israeli peace.

No one will ever forget the sight of acknowledged terrorist Arafat embracing an imbecile and clueless US President Carter.

Now clueless Obama wants the embrace, this time from Hamas.

So you little fagot runt, isn’t this what Obama did when he took over 6 months to pay any attention to our fighting military’s request for reinforcements?

I think Emanuel is a human gerbil.

Emanuel met secretly with Yaki Dayan, Israel's Consul, in Los Angeles 2 1/2 weeks ago.......Does it seem like the WH chief of staff role is a little over-reaching, having meetings or discussions with foreign diplomats?

Keep in mind, the Israelis are Rahm's bosom buddies. Rahm doesn't have to ask anybody's "permission" to meet with his friends. And besides, Ohaha has stated that Rahm tells him "everything he needs to know about Israel."

Course, seeing that Rahm Emanuel is a dual citizen, it is not clear whether the Constitution permits a dual to serve in a high level US govt job, and make policy decisions for American citizens.

KEEP IN MIND one of Emanuel's proudest moments during his tenure in the Clinton administration was when he directed the details of the "Mideast Peace ceremony" (the 127th "Mideast Peace ceremony" to date). Rahm choreographed the famous handshake between Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and PLO leader Yasser Arafat, in the 1993 Rose Garden signing ceremony. This event touched Emanuel's political sensibilities due to his lifelong personal and family ties to Israel. No one knows how Emanuel felt when, predictably, war broke out between the "peace partners" shortly thereafter.

RAHM VOLUNTEERS---VERSION ONE Circa 1990 Rham Emanuel was a volunteer for “Sar’el”——the three-week Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) training program to train civilians. Rahm Emmanuel volunteered in a program for civilian service in the IDF, and worked on brake components for APC’s and tanks in an IDF motor pool. He is lacking part of a finger and for many years went around claiming that he’d lost it in actions against the enemy in a tank. Course, if Rahm fought in the military of foreign government, that would negate his American citizenship (US citizens forfeit their citizenship when they serve in the military of a foreign government).

RAHM VOLUNTEERS---VERSION TWO Rahm volunteered for “Sar’el”——a three-week Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) training program (like US boot camp) where civilians are trained to assist the Israeli military. Civilians like Rahm lived on an IDF military base to get the proper training. A civilian volunteer, Rahm assisted the IDF during the 1991 Gulf War, repairing truck brakes in one of Israel’s northern bases.

THIS MUSTA MADE INTERESTING FAMILY DINNER CONVERSATION Rahm's father was an Israeli who was part of the Hagganah---the underground resistance movement under the British Mandate. The Hagannah blew up the King David Hotel, killing hundreds of innocent people.

RAHM'S CAREER AS A POLITICAL OPERATIVE

Emanuel began his political career with the public interest and consumer rights organization Illinois Public Action. He went on to serve in a number of capacities in local and national politics, initially specializing in fundraising for Illinois campaigns and then nationally. Emanuel worked for Democrat Paul Simon's 1984 election to the U.S. Senate, was the national campaign director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 1988, and then was senior advisor and chief fundraiser for Richard M. Daley's victorious campaign for Mayor of Chicago in 1989.

At the start of then-Arkansas Gov Bill Clinton's presidential primary campaign, Emanuel was appointed to direct the campaign's finance committee. Emanuel insisted that Clinton schedule a lot of time for fundraising and greatly delay campaigning in New Hampshire. Clinton agreed and embarked on an aggressive fundraising campaign across the nation. The fundraising paid off later, providing the campaign a vital buffer to keep buying television time as attacks on Clinton's character threatened to swamp the campaign during the New Hampshire primary. Emanuel's knowledge of the top donors in the US, his personal ties to Israel, and his rapport with potential donors within the Jewish community helped Clinton amass a then-unheard-of sum of $72 million.

Following the campaign, Emanuel became a senior advisor to Clinton at the White House from 1993-1998. In the White House, Emanuel was initially Assistant to the President for Political Affairs and then Senior Advisor to the President for Policy and Strategy. He was a leading strategist in the unsuccessful White House efforts to institute universal healthcare and many other Clinton initiatives.

I had always heard that Emanuel got his start as a bagman for the Chicago mob.
Of course, in Chicago “the mob” and the political organization are one and the same.

Goldman Sachs Will Be Sitting Pretty With Emanuel in the Obama White House
By: Timothy P. Carney, Examiner Columnist, Nov 21, 2008

Goldman Sachs always has clout in Washington, as evidenced by the firm’s alumni serving as Treasury secretaries under both Presidents Bush and Clinton. Today, in these tumultuous times of bailouts and meltdowns when the investment banking leviathan needs Washington more than ever before, Goldman can leverage its most valuable asset yet—incoming White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel. Goldman Sachs is the giant of Wall Street, and more than any other investment bank, Goldman is surviving the current financial storm.

Traditionally a Democratic booster, and one of Barack Obama’s top sources of funds in this past election, Goldman has always had some particularly strong allies within government. Emanuel is one such ally. An interesting early chapter in the Goldman-Emanuel relationship took place in the setting of Bill Clinton’s campaign for the White House in 1992. Clinton hired Emanuel as his chief fundraiser.

At the same time, however, Emanuel was on the payroll of Goldman Sachs, receiving $3,000 per month from the firm to “introduce us to people,” in the words of one Goldman partner at the time. This is certainly a noteworthy relationship, but it’s one that has almost entirely escaped scrutiny. (snip)

In his four terms in Congress, Emanuel has raised $74,750 from Goldman, making the firm his number four source of funds. Goldman has helped Emanuel. How has Emanuel helped Goldman? The most obvious answer, as mentioned in this column two weeks ago, is in Emanuel’s lead role in shepherding the “$700 billion” bailout—first proposed by former a Goldman CEO, Bush Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson—through the skeptical House.

Of course, back in the Clinton days, Goldman benefited from NAFTA and the bailout of the Mexican currency, with Emanuel pushing NAFTA through Congress, and Rubin hammering out the peso bailout. Did Goldman improperly funnel money to the Clinton campaign by subsidizing Emanuel’s salary in 1992? Did Goldman’s help to Clinton spur the Democratic president to push NAFTA and the Mexican bailout?

The answers to these questions are opaque, and with Emanuel burrowed deep within the Obama White House, the continued relationship between Goldman Sachs and Obama’s right hand man won’t be easy to follow.

Watch which regulations of Wall Street Obama fights for. Watch where the bailout money goes. And don’t be surprised Goldman soon sitting pretty once again.

THINGS WE DO NOT KNOW ABOUT RAHM Did Wall Street Rahm reveal all of his ties to financial institutions involved in Obama's trillion dollar federal bailout of financials.......like Goldman Sachs, for instance?
