Then it’s only $45/person; less than a buck per week for the year. That’s nothing.

Reducing religion to a money grab is rejecting Christ.

That's probably true. But that's probably not what Rick Warren is doing, "reducing religion" to something....

Rick Warren is a sinner. But we should be careful not to condemn him to hell when we think he's sinning.

Don’t blame Rick Warren for your pastor’s stupidity. Does your church not have a board of elders, or advisers, who would have stopped this silly plan?

Read this: Change Dividing Southern Baptist Mega-Church

This is exactly what Warren's methods did to our church and he has done to churches all over the place. Don't worry I don't blame Warren for where we are at as a church. I blame our pastor for biting the Rick Warren apple.

Lots of churches split after a long-standing pastor either dies or steps down. And lots of people get frustrated when the new pastor is not identical to the older one. Lots of people dislike change in their church services, even though the culture changes dramatically around them.

Sorry, that article doesn’t indicate that anything unbiblical was instituted. People left, or complained, because the new pastor wasn’t identical to the previous one. I think it’s good to respect the older generation, and to serve them in the musical styles, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing to provide music with a “beat,” or to have a less “congregational” leadership approach.

I don’t care for Rick Warren. I don’t care for pop religion. I don’t care for fad books. But Warren is neither evil nor hell-bound, as some are saying.
