Sending Ben Nelson A Message!
www.HillBuzz.Org ^ | January 1, 2010 | HillBuzz

Posted on 01/02/2010 12:05:53 PM PST by PennsylvaniaMom

Senator Ben Nelson needs to be driven from office, either forced to resign by overwhelming public pressure, or driven from office by the powerful people who sent him there to begin with: namely, his large donors.

This is yet ANOTHER wonderful article/effort by the Boyz over at HillBuzz.

Please follow the link, read their article and the ensuing comments and ADDRESSES, PHONE NUMBERS, EMAILS and CONTACTS of the biggest corporate donors of one Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska.

Borrowing a page from the Revrund Al Sharpton school of donor attack and shame, HillBuzz suggested finding and contacting these donors (as calls/faxes/emails to Nelson seem to be falling on deaf ears) and expressing voter dismay at the corporate 'support' for ObamaCare/Socialized Medicine and the 'freebie' for Nebraska (never, ever paying into Medicare).

The HillBuzz posters went into action, did the heavy lifting and posted the donor lists; and the needed addresses and links.

Please read the thread, and note that Omaha Steaks and Comcast were/are big Nelson donors. As is CSX and alot of law firms.

Write a letter (your own, original words/thoughts...someone has to open snailmail; forward it within the corporation, and ultimately someone on their payroll has to 'deal' with the paper trail)...if you have purchased from Omaha Steaks (send them a copy of your receipt--CC acct info black out of course). Same with Comcast...these companies need to learn that supporting the 'usual suspects' in DC is not without consequences.

This first salvo is aimed at Ben Nelson for his egrigious sell out of the United States for 'free' Medicaid forever for Nebraska. Like Alinksy wrote 'isolate' ...he is first...with 59 more to follow.

Please read, write some letters and comment.

Democrats = Party of Islam.

Ben Nelson is one of the biggest enablers. Do Cornhuskers support Islamists?

This is a complete waste of time. He’s in office until his term expires, no amount of letter writing is going to convince them to do anything other than feel sorry for poor old Ben. Companies run by big libs like Comcast are happy with his vote and will be happy to give him more. This naive article expects politics to somehow work differently than it always has. Ben Nelson will probably retire and if there’s not a Dem president in office to appoint him as Ambassador to Costa Rica or someplace equally warm, he’ll probably just go to work for Dem lobbying outfit like Tommy Dashole did and make a half mil a year as an “expert” on healthcare.

That’s how politics works.

The question Frantzie is what corporate donors (like Omaha Steak and Comcast) want to be tied into supporting.

Please hit the link, get the snail mail address and let them (corporate donors) know what you think!

This is what the ‘left’ has been doing for years...time to use their own tactics against them.

No, what is a complete waste of time is the habit certain Freeprs have of running around this website shrilly advocating we must follow their lazy butt doctrines of preemptive surrender and do nothing-ism.

“That’s how it works” Bob, if we let it. What are our other options? Do nothing? Look where that has gotten us...

For the price of some postage stamps I am willing to do ‘something.’ And do it again, and again...

imho, if Ben couldn’t be affected, his office wouldn’t be asking AGs to ‘call off the dogs’.

“Many of you have said that calling, faxing, emailing, writing, and even appearing in person in Ben Nelson’s offices has done no good, because he does not care what his constituents think. You’ve also noted that ALL Democrats in Congress don’t care what you think either, and concern trolls in our midst keep pulling the Eeyore carnard of “What’s the use? They won’t listen anyway. We should just sit here quietly and do nothing and learn to love what our wise and knowledgable Congress members are doing”.

We don’t tolerate Eeyores around here, and think even less of concern trolls...”

They got your number, bigbob.

Hey Everybody! bigbob is officially outed as a troll! Specifically, an “Eeyore”.

I’m bookmarking Hillbuzz.org, they know how the game is really played.

It always amazes me that one gets labeled a troll here when one speaks the truth and doesn’t obey the ‘official line’ of the thread ...

I think BN can still be convinced to vote against whatever “compromise” bill comes out of the Hussein/Reid/Pelosi Politburo.

He can be part of a filibuster. Let’s pressure him for that for now...

I don’t know about that, having seen his commercial that he ran during the recent Nebraska/Arizona slaughter. I don’t see how, especially if the House adopts the Senate version without any changes, that Nelson comes down from his position, after having so publically extolled the virtues of the Senate version of Obamacare. Although, I hope that I’m wrong about this....

Hmmmm? I may be wrong but “Eeyores” and “concern trolls” strike me as a good deal more effective than trolls of the Nyah! Nyah! Nyah! variety.

Like how the “seminar callers” to the talk shows are more and more middle-aged sounding people with good-ole’-boy accents who insist they are conservatives/Christians/veterans, etc, then start pushing the liberal line.

I guess Axelrod realized paying obnoxious, sneering college kiddie types to call up and spew were a waste of good money...

Though I have to admit hearing those astonishingly testosterone-free voices could be amusing.

Post cards.

Sending Post cards means that the curious among us . . . and very few aren’t . . . will read what we’ve written . . . and maybe a few will wake up and maybe a few will start to question.

And the addressee will know that others have read his mail. Kind of hard to act like nothing has occurred when most of the office knows what someone wrote to you.
