It is worth a try. The GOP has got to begin to show the flag in hostile ports like taxachusetts. How much is the GOP Senate Committee contributing btw? Anyone know?

Several cycles back when Howard Dean was DNC Chair he forced through a "50-state" strategy despite the fury of establishment beltway 'rats who thought they knew better and wanted the money spent their way. People here at FR scoffed and ridiculed him because he admittedly was, and is, a goofball.

But he was right, and his strategy worked, and he changed a lot of districts from red to blue. the present Congress is largely the fruits of Howard Dean's work.

GOP ought to get a clue from that.

I didn’t scoff at Dean’s tactics. Fact is, Dems CAN be competitive in virtually every district in the country (winning is another story). The GOP can’t. There are scores of districts we write off (mostly urban and non-White). But the latter is our fault when we don’t try to compete in Dem areas and give those voters a choice.
