Rasmussen: Health Care Vote Puts Nelson 30 Points Down in Reelection Bid
Rasmussen Reports ^

Posted on 12/30/2009 7:25:30 PM PST by GVnana

The good news for Senator Ben Nelson is that he doesn't have to face Nebraska voters until 2012.

If Governor Dave Heineman challenges Nelson for the Senate job, a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey shows the Republican would get 61% of the vote while Nelson would get just 30%. Nelson was reelected to a second Senate term in 2006 with 64% of the vote.

Nelson's health care vote is clearly dragging his numbers down. Just 17% of Nebraska voters approve of the deal their senator made on Medicaid in exchange for his vote in support of the plan. Overall, 64% oppose the health care legislation, including 53% who are Strongly Opposed. In Nebraska, opposition is even stronger than it is nationally.

Good to know that Nebraskans won’t be recipients of the 30 pieces of silver.

I hope they don’t dash my hopes and they really have had their eyes opened.

Only 30; I pray the traitor drops 80 points as well the rest of the treasonous feces that voted for this tyranny.

He and all of the Dems are convinced once this thing is passed that the voters will come to realize how great the bill is and will ultimately end up thanking the Dems for passing it.

Let hope a Sen or two sees a similar 25-30 point overnight drop in polling results and has a moment of rare lucidity.

It’s a shame we can’t recall senators, I bet the democrats would lose at least 5 seats before the 2010 election even takes place if we could..

Ben Nelson Wins in Landslide!

-Headline 2012

I’m in Nebraska - most people I know personally love Nelson and love his healthcare vote.

I’ll bet he is truly surprised that the people of Nebraska aren’t thrilled that he sold his vote “for them”.

There is no provision to recall a resentative or senator. Once they are in, you are stuck with them until they retire, die, or are thrown in jail.

If the Democrats, a/k/a Socialists, believe that they will not win the 2010 election, there won’t be a 2010 election.

They are within a gnat’s eyelash of taking total control of this Country and they are not about to relinquish what they have schemed, planned, and in all probability, killed for without a fight merely because they were outvoted.

Plan for and expect things to get very nasty in the ensueing months.

If it doesn’t happen, good. If it does happen, then you won’t be surprised.

Well, I am sure his PSA telling them “HEY! You are ALL whores and I pimped you!” will make them love him again.

Given his betrayal of the good people of Nebraska and America, if I lived in his state, I would immediately begin organizing a recall. Why wait until 2012?.

Given his poll numbers after the health care destruction vote, it should be easy.

If only he were up for reelection this year. So is it certain that Gov Heineman wants to run? He should start raising $$ now since this will be a huge battle. Of course a lot can change in 3 years. Zer0’s popularity could go way up. But considering the damage they are doing it is hard to see the economy booming again. Hopefully B0 will drag down other Dems just like Carter did in 1980.

He will probably retire as Ambassador to Someplace Warm, as a nice parting gift from the Obama Administration.
