The congressional pork barrel comes before public safety
While a terrorist was plotting to kill Americans over the Christmas holidays, what was the Federal Aviation Administration doing? Why, spending $5 million on a three-week-long Christmas party, of course.
A series of seminars in Atlanta officially were aimed at training managers on a new air-traffic-controller contract but degenerated into one big bash. According to ABC News, the seminars didn't even cover half of the 100 new provisions in a contract that went into effect two months ago.

The list, pin
a few more people with list to spread the word....”Washington is on vacation, don’t bother them!”
This administration and this government are TOTALLY out of control. It is far past time for serious action to restore America..
AND the White House threw 28 parties and entertained 50,000 guests.
The agency has a long history of misguided spending that does nothing to improve flight safety or efficiency. Since 1998, the FAA has allowed $3.5 billion in taxpayer funds intended to improve aviation safety to be used to build private jet hangars and new luxurious terminals for airports that average just three flights a day, according to USA Today.
Make that the Retirement Party in 2010.

It’s too bad the average citizens will suffer and die because of the lazy and incompetent government class. I would rather see an attack hit the incompetent people instead of Joe and Jane American.
There was always an excuse for air traffic controllers to
get drunk at their own expense. Managers only to kiss the butt ahead of them!
There is that glaring pattern again of government employees and workers blaming other government employees and workers. This has repeated itself for a long time now...
This is typical and the same exact thing that happens when other criminal/corrupt enterprises are revealed...Everyone pointing the finger at others, hoping for reduced sentences, and to deflect blame....The first ones to squeal get the deal.
There is no honor among thieves.
This administration? This is nothing new for government...
To prove my point, look at your lawless, wide open, violent chaotic borders, with 500 plus tons of illegal drugs, and millions entering illegally, along with God knows what else...
All during war time yet.
If the left honestly believes that this country could not function without a large government in place, and are more efficient then the private world, the:
1)Why Are so many city, state and federal government employees off the last two weeks of December because of use or lose leave...while in the profit driven REAL world, most business must be staffed at all times to meet customers demands??
2) Why are so many essential government conferences held in sunny Las Vegas or Miami in late December where it is more expensive rather than Omaha or Syracuse where the hotel rates are dirt cheap???
They FAA is partying like the Salahi’s.
Yup, spread the word, hoosiermama!
Zero and these damn incompetent democRATs are gonna get us all killed... :-(
Excerpts:
Located outside a small Pennsylvania city, John Murtha airport may not see many passengers. But it's seen plenty of arrivals of tax dollars from Washington, most recently economic stimulus funds. Democratic Rep. John Murtha says it's his job to direct federal funds to his district in Pennsylvania. The airport offers three commercial flights.
FAA spokeswoman Laura Brown said Murtha airport received stimulus money because it was "shovel-ready." It "met all of the requirements for the use of the stimulus money," Brown said.
Murtha airport is not the only remote airport landing stimulus funds. According to the FAA's Web site, hundreds of big and small airports across the country are slated to receive $1 billion in stimulus upgrades. Many of the airports are in such far-flung places as U.S. territories Guam and American Samoa. Even King Salmon, Alaska, (population 447) is expecting $9.7 million, according to FAA records.
Murtha airport's manager said taxpayer money is going to waste at his facility, but not on the runway project. He points to an unstaffed $8 million air traffic radar system installed in 2004. "It's been sitting over there, and that radar has been spinning for all those years with no purpose. Just sitting there," Voelker said.
Hey, why shouldnt they party on our dime? They will be very well taken care of, at least until 2013
