"FBI: Man Flew Into LaGuardia With Firecracker"

"Passenger Taken Into Custody After Device Found Wedged Between Seats On Piedmont Airlines Flight Into LaGuardia"

NEW YORK (CBS)

SNIPPET: "A passenger who flew into LaGuardia Airport on Sunday night was questioned by FBI agents after allegedly boarding the flight with an explosive device in his possession, CBS 2 has learned.

Officials confirmed Monday that a crew member on board Piedmont Airlines flight 4126, originating from Baltimore Washington International Airport, was cleaning the plane after it landed in New York around 7:30 p.m. when he found a large firecracker-like device wedged between two seats. Port Authority officials contacted FBI agents, and the passenger from that seat location, identified as 67-year-old Thomas Ouelette, of Bonita Springs, Fla., was tracked down and taken into custody.

Ouelette was planning on taking a connecting flight to Fort Myers, Fla. from New York.

Authorities did not release details on the kind of device discovered other than saying it was a 4-inch-long, three-quarter-inch-wide explosive pyrotechnic.

Federal officials said they did not believe terrorism was involved, but that Ouelette already had two outstanding warrants in Florida for "unlawful flight."

There is no word yet as to whether Ouelette was charged with a crime, however he was issued a summons by the FBI. Sources said the man claimed the firecracker fell out of his bag and he didn't even know he had it.

Piedmont is a subsidiary of US Airways."

Authorities need to detain, question and investigate the connections of everyone who, over then next several days, might have reserved the seat (and its neighbors) into which the device was tucked. Also, those who would've been allowed priority (read: early access) to any seats surrounding the one with the "firework" should be similarly investigated.

Probably Muslim connections to the tops of all lists!

Fell out of his bag? But he had no knowledge of it being in his bag?

Perhaps a grandson packed it for him?

So he has acquaintance with the firework? Or what?

These types of coincidences drive me nuts. First we have a “sick” Nigerian spending an hour in the bathroom on a flight to Detroit. Now we have a firecracker found on a plane a couple of days after the Northwest incident which was described early on as a firecracker. Call me tin foil, but I’m not buyin it.

Testing..testing...probing...probing...while Obama surfs. Oh well, he must have a Czar for that responsibility stashed somewhere.

They’re probing.

Don’t forget, TSA let a key security manual leak last month.

I'd check his account for any sudden desposits from the Middle East. Even Dhimmis can be bribed.

A firecracker?

A news story about a firecracker?

We've turned into a nation of wusses.

I've been bemoaning this nation's demise. I find myself thinking more and more that I wish we could just get it over with and hit the reset button.

Whatever it is we have here is beyond salvage.

When I went to the Galveston County Courthouse a couple of months ago I was glancing at the sign that said “No knives allowed”. I was thinking to myself “what idiot would do that!”
Well I got a big suprise because my son had hidden a knife in my purse. Was I ever embarrassed!
So you never know.

Yep, I got some of the links.

Looks kind of like girly undies except for the explosives packet, of course.
