I liked the sound of this one, we have learned that if someone is not genetically conservative then they will “grow” in office.
“McCarthy said he found the embodiment of the candidate he was searching for when he met Stephen Fincher, a gospel-singing cotton farmer from Tennessee.
“They say this farmer’s going to come and see me,” McCarthy said. “And in Tennessee, they talk a little different than in California. I said, ‘Steve, where do you live?’ He said, ‘I live in Frog Jump, Tennessee.’ I said, ‘What do you farm?’ He said, ‘I farm cotton.’ ... I just look at this guy and said this is what America is about. He is true to his convictions, to his philosophy, and he’s not going to change coming to Washington. ... This guy is my favorite.”
All of us should be praying that good, honest, articulate conservatives should run this year.

Gains may and should come but it won’t be worth a damn if the NRCC keeps digging into the GoP field and backing more Scozzafavas. As a member of the NRCC, he helped let that one fall thru the cracks.
Kevin is also the right hand man of Eric Cantor acting as a Deputy Republican Minority Whip or such.
Someone also mentioned his ACU ratings were max. So are a lot of others that also rate highly, yet have had their own shortcomings when it came to immigration reform efforts not so long ago.
To add insult to injury, David Keene , head of the ACU, has taken CPAC into the LGBT-sponsored event arena, I’d be might leery of how they rate anyone from here on out. jmo.
Thnaks for posting this, btw.
I just hope folks don’t just go gaga and fail to run a lot more conservative candidates and not play this middle of the road crap again.
We are having fertile success within the Tea Party Patriots!
I wouldn’t underrate the contribution of Obama and the rats in Congress in addition to clowns like Janet Napolitano.
I think the bigger one to congratulate would be the Tea Party activists, not McCarthy, he was just the man in the right place at the right time!
I'm not terribly sure I want the Republican Party as it is currently configured to take control. They look an awful lot like the Democrats in terms of liberalism, big government, higher taxes and less freedom. Too many RINOs at the top of the Party chain of command. Too many running for election (like Crist here in FL).
Either the RINOsaurs leave the old guard and give it over to real conservatives, or it's time for a new party of real conservatives to rise in the place of the Grand OLD Party.
