The Land of Lincoln may still be licking its wounds–and certain real estate transactions–over Chicago’s losing the Olympics to Rio, but the Obama Administration has delivered up a small consolation prize: the state’s very own federal prison for terrorists. Big Government has received what is claimed to be a leaked DOJ memo that was allegedly sent yesterday from Eric Holder’s Department of Justice to Defense Secretary Robert Gates. Memo below:

I think I read that this would bring in something like $2 billion to the community/IL over 10 years? (cost of $1 million per inmate per year?) Check my math... Seems like a great corruption opportunity.

I used to have the link showing how much money gitmo actually cost. The court trials room alone is state of the art.

If you mean prison guards, my guess is they might make out like bandits.
Honestly, I don’t know if the guards would be Federal or Illinois state
employees.
If Federal, they’ll make out just fine.
If Illinois state employees, they may get a flyover-country version
of the SWEET deal that the California state prison guards got under
former Gov. Gray Davis.
Davis basically bought their votes in perpetuity (sp?)...
and last I knew they still had their sweet deals even though Davis
got the heave-ho from California voters.
What happens if there is a jail break? Or is that what Obama wants? Is this jail maximum security? How many Obama cronies will makes money off of this because they are POed they lost the olympic bid?
